Whatever buffer the environmental purists want for the wrinkle road,
Canyonlands, or the Dinosaur National Monument needs to be put around the Mount
Olympu s wilderness. That would mean demolishing much of the development
on the east bench.
There should be laws against environmentalists.
Come on out to the Uintah Basin and breath our air. My doctor's office
sounded like a TB clinic last week, the nurse said most of the people there were
having respiratory and heart problems. Our pollution levels are that of Huston
and L.A. on a bad day. And then they get the go ahead to start
drilling 1300 more gas wells. There's almost no where in Uintah County you
can go now that you won't have to deal with the dust, exhaust, noise and
equipment of the energy companies. Adding insult to injury, over 200 new well
sites with their roads and infrastructure are now set to encroach on wilderness
quality lands near the put-in for boats and rafts at Sandwash on the Green
