Polls and their questions in Utah should be called illegal and not
representative nor legal in influencing any legislation or laws. Polls should be
outlawed and only individual citizens contacting legislators and representatives
be allowed as political polls and political views of the citizens of this state
or country.A poll such as this could have been the target of non
taxpayers listed with the state tax commission of Utah who have no vested or
financial liability to the state or education or government operating costs.
Target groups of one city or county are false and criminal accusation of intents
and deception for government expansion. Legislators should not be allowed to
hire or contact polling business for the purpose of laws or legislative actions.
I for one denounce any tax increase for education or spending for
education system without an extensive audit from the state AG office of
accountability. Per pupil spending is a hoax and has no truth at all. Per pupil
spending is disproportionate and based on location, income demographics, and
school population.I find it distasteful that our legislator give and
credibilty to polls they know are fake.
People want more taxes? More grants, and programs for schools? Right!
Our legislators don't give any credibility to these polls. Every year for
the last twenty years Utahn's say they are willing to pay more for
education. In that same time period the legislature has cut taxes and diverted
money that traditionally went to k-12 to other sources. My2Cents you can rest
well knowing that the far right Utah legislature is never going to increase
taxes for education. They might increase it for roads, but never education.
Fred44,It's terrible, education is so under funded. How much more do you think is needed?
Worf,I think they need whatever the people want to put into
education, then I think the people need to accept that they get what they pay
for. Utahn's in general want their children to have a first rate education
and realize that won't happen with the lowest spending in the country. Utah legislators like all good for far right republicans want to starve
public education and kill it with impossible mandates like NCLB so that they can
find a cheaper alternative. Cheap isn't always better.
