Extremely good news for her and her family! Thanks to all who helped in any
manner in the search for her.
Wooooooohooooooooooooooo!"Winder believes whoever Brooklyn was
with saw news reports of those efforts and felt pressure to drop her off
somewhere so she could be reunited with her family."So the
search was effective in a way that I didn't imagine...
I'm so glad she's safe and the news was better than I expected.
Glad to hear she is safe. But the sheriff believes she left out the
window by herself. Really, why not just ask her and she will tell you if she
left herself or if she was coaxed. Probably a part to leave out of the article
since she is now safe and at home. Wait until you have the full story before
you make a comment like that.
Why put her address in the paper? Just curious what purpose that serves.
I'm glad she's safe. However, Winder ought to check out the
definition of kidnapping ("taken"). I think he'll find that if she
left willingly she was not "taken" or kidnapped. Other charges may be
appropriate, but kidnapping wouldn't be one of them.
Why in the world would you put her home address in this article? That is the
height of irresponsibility!
@RBNRegardless of whether she left her home voluntarily or not, if
she was prevented from returning home and was held against her will by the
person(s) whom she was with, particularly of the person(s) was/were adult(s),
that would be kidnapping.I'm just glad that she is home and
appears to be safe.
As a citizen of the county, I am extremely impressed and happy with the serice
and leadership we are seeing from Sheriff Winder!. How he is handling this
matter and that whole mug shot issue is very professional and shows a LOT of
good judgement on his part. Thanks Sheriff - we need more public servants like
If, and that is a big IF, she left on her own accord I would suggest the police
have her sign a 10 year contract and she can get a part time job and start
paying off the cost of the police to find her. Probably won't happen.
This article said she left her bedroom window of her own free will..She
didn't have to leave her house. I agree with CougarBlue. I'm sorry in
my book she isn't the victim..her family and all the volunteers are the
It's a little early for Winder to be running for re-election, but that is
what he seems to be doing. My guess is that she has a boyfriend and
they ran off and then got scared of the consequenses. Seems like she needs some
parental involvement. Notice, she called her grandma, not her parents.Meckofahess, can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. It seems
Those speculating that she was or was not kidnapped apparently are unfamiliar
with a term called "facts in evidence." Wait uintil the investigation
has been completed and then the facts will be presented and if a crime has
occurred, charges will likely be filed. In the mantime, end the endless
speculation and be grateful she was found and was safe.
@toosmartforyou:"In the mantime, end the endless speculation and be
grateful she was found and was safe."What's so wrong with
speculation? And it's not speculation. It's called opining about a
very serious issue. If she's standing a in mall and calls her
grandmother to come get her, what are we to think? Was she with a friend? Was
she forcefully taken by someone? These are all perfectly legit issues to be
discussing on this article. Even the cops are doing a fair amount of
I am writing about the missing girl and I am thankful for all who searched and
helped find her. I am aware that people organized search parties here in
Herriman and very thankful for that.
