Alarms are a big opportunity for a scam. They want to sell you monitoring, and
want nothing to do with hardware or service. You know, the parts that give you
the BBB "resolved" 77% of the claims. Except that for the BBB
"resolved" means "if they're a member, the company told us it
was resolved" (i.e. it means nothing).
A scam it is and it overloads local law enforcment to the point the many times
when alarm companies call in for local services they are put at the bottom of
the list. Local first responders are not required to respond to alarm company
calls because our police and fire departments do no work for the alarm
companies. Call in alarms from this industry is why people should
not trust them for promised services when they have no people to respond to
emergency's or calls. Alarm companies do not have first responders and our
local city services are not required to respond to alarm company calls without
the conditions they are reporting is verified by their personnel.Home monitoring is not home protection services unless they have their own
responders. You don't get what you think you get, read the contracts, all
will deny first responder services as the local city laws dictate. The alarm
signs only keep honest criminals honest and offer no protections at all. There
is no peace of mind at all so if home owners are willing to risk their money in
a lie that is their choice.
Any list that doesn't include the airlines has zero credibility.
