I personally do not see how any God could let this happen to a group of children
who are without sin? This tragedy only confirms my belief that there is no God
and there is no reason why these children were killed.
Many mistakenly think that God should prevent bad guys from doing bad things.
Many don't understand free agency which God provides for each of us. God
does reach out when we are hurt and we can find divine peace to go on in no
other way but God does not vaccinate us from pain. Earth life is about growing
and we grow from experience - good and bad. There are penalties to be paid and a
day of reckoning for bad guys but many times that is on the other side of the
veil. There is no good or bad deed that goes unnoticed and rewards for the
righteous is absolute as well as consequences for the bad and unrepentant.
If, as some suggest, this mortal life is a time for "learning", then the
blood of these innocent children is a tuition fee FAR TOO DEAR for such an
"education". Cold blooded murder and massacre teaches us nothing but
hurt and pain, and it taught those beautiful, innocent children nothing at
all.A doctrine that would try to make "sense" out of such
insanity is a doctrine that subtly endorses evil for its "educational
value", and validates abuse in the name of "this is for your own
good." What appalling notions!I agree with nonbeliever.
How does looking to God help it make sense? Ever read the Old Testament? Many
thousands, if not millions of dead innocent people were either attributed to God
himself or his chosen people via his command.
Patriot:God gave us free will then killed nearly everyone in the flood for
using their free will.If you take that literally, then there is no free
Ohmyheck, the quote from Emilie's father made me cry!!! That is incredibly
profound. We all have free agency....for good or bad.
Bass: Then I guess we shouldn't have any laws at all because everyone has
agency so therefore there is no right or wrong at all. Just think then we would
be living in total anarchy. Just as any parent we are given commandments that
we must obey. These commandments have been on the earth since man was CREATED
in the image of our Heavenly Father. Father was going to just destroy all
mankind but Noah talked him out of it. He saved just a handful and they loaded
into the arc. The rest were destroyed just as all the wicked will be at
judgement. Our agency is the one of the great gifts we were given.
To choose for ourselves how we wish to live. We can either submit to the will
of the Father as the Son did or we can face eternal damnation. It is our
decision. "...for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good,
and sendeth the rain on the just and on the unjust." Just as Hitler made
his choice so did this young man make his. In the end these 20 children have
already received their reward.
