I've seen religion "save" as many lives as I've seen
"ruined".Faith, Hope and Charity all have positive
influences on people.but, The Guilt, Shame, and Judgement - mostly
coming for so-called "believers" can destroy.Christ taught
the 1st set of behaviors, and told us to never offend committing the 2nd.
Yes, "exploring ideas" is a powerful tool when dealing with illness -
both physical and mental.That said, an idea's capacity to make
you feel better about yourself says nothing about the truthfulness of the
idea.Shouldn't an idea's ability to withstand objective
criticism be part of the exploration? Does honesty matter in this
How about dogs. Don't dog owners also heal quicker and live longer?I have no doubt that a positive mental state can help with ones physical
healing.If that is achieved thru religion, fine. If Fido does it
for you, fine also.
