Superb article. My husband's taken this political race and its results
pretty hard. I remind him that, hey, this nation's seen plenty of bad times
(and screwy presidents) and managed to survive. Now, more than ever, we need to
rely on Christ's leaders here on earth. They will help us to prepare for
what comes and help us find true "hope and change".And hey,
if the world -is- going to end, that's not necessarily a bad thing...unless
you're wicked. ^w^
I always enjoy your articles. I'm still working hard to get my food
storage in place as I think I will need it during my lifetime but hey..... I
agree, hope, love, charity... practice these principles and we will find joy and
happiness in these times!
Good article. I think it is fair to say that Pres. Hinckley and Pres. Monson
can both be characterized as optimists. Certainly not folks who stick their
head in the sand or who are unaware of the problems around them. But they still
see the good in people even while they wrestle with the various issues of the
day. They then push to make things better. Those of us who are
Latter-day Saints should take our cues from them. Engage with the world and
work our hardest to make it better. Leave despair for another day. It will
always be there should we wish to go back to it.
This article cheered me up. Thank you. There is a lot more for me to do and it
is all positive. That is what I am working on today, tomorrow and so on.
If the world isn't going to end right away, does that mean I have to make
my car payment this month?
Smart, kind, wise and thoughtful column. Thanks so much for sharing.
Firstly a great artical, it reminds me that in so many respects we make a choice
everyday whether we look to the sky or the mud. My wife recently
had a discussion with a person that has suffered racism. He indicated to
overcome racism we must overcome the racist in ourselves, then help our family
overcome the racist in themselves before helping those around us.Remember Mathew “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown
mercy”. The world will not come to an end due to an election. Humanity
as we know it will come to an end in Heavenly Father’s time.
