Greg claimed the incidents were consensual sex. Apparently in Greg's mind
he believed the women were okay with what happened. He was more aggressive than
most men and he felt he was innocent of 'Rape'. I get the impression
that Greg was manipulative, narcissistic, and controling. Unfortunately most
men who share these attributes do not see it in themselves. This is
a sad case for everyone involved.
It's not the ending they wanted, but it is the ending they got. Another illustration that the second amendment also provides its own due
Very, very sad story. I agree that the media played this story as very big. We
do not like sexual perpetrators among us anywhere! However, it seems
he brought this legal action upon himself. If he had lived a chaste life, none
of this would have happened. He probably did see it differently. Money and power
and thinking he could have anything/anyone he wanted proved very costly for him.
Simple esson for society: Put off the "natural man" and turn
to God and live His commandments.
Right... I am sure he is innocent, because innovent people take their own lives
even though they claim the truth will come out. How could he have been worried
that he would go to prison if there was no proof of his crimes? If they never
happened then there would be no proof and no case. His friends are either blind,
or are in denial. Sociopaths like Peterson are very good at lying, and getting
people to believe them. The thing is... do his friends think that all of these
women, whom he met online on a church dating site, got together and planned this
big scheme to lye and say that he raped them? Do they really think these women
would go through this if it didn't happen? The answer is a very obvious NO.
They have no reason to lie. This is not a conspiracy. This is a sociopath
finally getting caught in his own web of crime. Now hopefully these women can
move forward with their lives.
Unfortunately for Greg the 'natural man' took over. I have no doubt
that at some point in his life he was a good person, trying to do what was right
and live according to the teachings of the LDS church. Something changed that
took over the good in him. Perhaps it was power from being involved with
important people. Perhaps it was pornography, typical of these kinds of
offenses. Perhaps it was greed or the love of money that kept him from keeping a
level head.My belief is that it was all of the above. The
combination of power, greed, lust, and a feeling of invincibility created a
monster. I don't know the facts nor do I assume to condemn him. That is not
my place. But I do believe the women who spoke out against him. I have no reason
to believe otherwise. It is far more likely that Greg is lying than the
women.A good lesson for us all "...if ye do not watch
yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds and observe the
commandments of God...ye must perish. And now, O man, remember, and
A tragic story of a Child of God who got on the wrong path. When we take the
first step into evil, it leads to misery for ourselves and others. In the end,
we destroy ourselves.
I am a bail bondsman with All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita Ca. and I
tell you right now the only thing those bondsman would be upset about is that if
they didn't get fully paid from the defendant and if they have cosigners I
assure you they will still collect regardless of the suicide. I call it good
business!, A predators off the street and if the bondsman did things right,
they'll still get paid.
CT98 is correct about Greg ("manipulative, narcissistic, and
controling"). I was in business with Greg for a couple years. It was not a
