I have been watching the DH teams for several years now. They always seem to
play extremely hard and with alot of confidence. The QB (Ty Rutledge) is a very
good athlete and will take their team deep into the playoffs. I believe we are
all in for a treat as we watch the 3A playoffs. Spanish Fork, Stansbury, Dixie,
Juan Diego and Hurricane all could be dangerous. Good luck teams.
Here's my take on dhhs: hard fought match with Dixie, don't know what
PV team showed up to play dhhs- Could have been the squabbling with coaches.
They earned the Hurricane win although tigers best guard got a concussion and
sat the rest of game, and qb/safety broke his hand. Lucked into Dixie losing
to snow canyon. They are tough - but it was the perfect storm to share region
and be 1 seed.
I agree with R-9, DHHS is very fortunate to be the #1 seed. They were down 28-7
against Hurricane when the Tigers QB left the game. They also played PV without
their QB. Since the return of their QB they have been a different team. How, I
wonder, would DHHS fare against Hurricane or Pine View without their own QB, Ty
Rutledge? It will be interesting to see a rematch of DHHS and Pine View in the
semi-finals if they both make it. When you can load the box against the run
because you know a team can't pass it's a lot easier to defend.
That's a game I would really like to see.
Anyone that has watched Desert Hills knows that they earned their wins.
It's no ones fault for injuries, Desert Hills has injuries too. Desert
Hills has earned the number 1 seed by beating the teams they needed to beat.
Dixie and Hurricane didn't win the games they needed to win, but are still
very dangerous teams in the post season.
