Rather than get atwist that this sort of schlock is on tv, I did what we all need to do for ourselves. I decided not to watch.

Truly the fact that this television show is so popular, is a sad commentary on what we as a society value. I'm not sure just turning off our own tv's is enough anymore. We need to continue speaking out against this kind of filth. Whether we watch it or not, it does affect the world we live in.

Inadvertently happened upon an episode recently and watched for awhile..it is shallow and stupid, gratuitous violence. My young friend watching with me was enthralled. What will be next, the violence of the Roman arena?

roswell - my thoughts exactly. The tourist draw in Rome, called the Collosseum, was a three-part spectacle. Animals killing people and people killing animals in the morning. A lunch-break "hacking of the criminals" for those who didn't "eat out". And people killing people for the afternoon. The collosseum was in use for centuries. This behaviour, watching the Walking Dead, is not a flattering mirror of ourselves.

Sounds like a video game put to film. No. Thank. You.
