one-millionth article I have read over the last several years describing our
spending problem. Rather than continually describing the problem, I would like
to see somebody suggest how we can can elect a bunch of congressmen who
don't believe in compromise and then expect them to work together to solve
problems? Everybody can describe the problem, and even visualizing solutions is
not difficult. But working together seems to be impossible... at least until we
elect some people who believe in it.

I surely appreciate posters who can take a problem that's been with us for

There is plenty of blame to go around for our country's debt condition.
Yes, Bush and Reagan contributed to it as did Clinton (even though his last few
years reversed the trend).Congress and the American public are also
to blame.The main problem I see right now is that the current
President (who wants to get another four years) refuses to accept any of the
blame even though he is the largest contributor by far.
