Just how the 1% wants it for maximizing profits.
SHHHHHHH. We're pretending there was no recession - it was just all Obama
being president. Oh, and there definetly can't be any recovery
- until a republican is president. Even if there is - there isn't. Get it?
Just like we pretended there was no recession started when Bush was president -
there's no recovery. We learned this pretending technique from highly
developed 3 year olds and it's working great. Just go along.
It's not too surprising. The ramp up isn't going to necessarily start
at the top. But one thing to look at is whether previously higher wage jobs are
now low wage. If a group of 10 has had 7 laid off, do the other 3 dare fight if
the boss cuts their wage, or do they try to hang on in order to keep an income
at all? Now if the 3 had some legal standing, or someone to stand
for them, they might be in a little less of a desparate situation than if they
basically don't have any rights at all in relation to their employer.
This was happening way before the "great recession". High paying US
jobs were being off shored well before even the twinkling of a recession was
seen. Perhaps the recession accelerated it a bit, but this trend is independent
of any recession. And Romney nor Obama can do anything about it other than
opening up our boarders to knowledge workers can come here. But even that will
not fix problems like the high cost of doing business. Even Utah is expensive
compared to India, China and Brazil, with more economies coming on line right
behind them. The fluffy high paying job days are done. We are
competing globally, not locally now folks. Get used to it.
