You know you live in an Upside-down Land if...You can get arrested for
expired tags on your car, but not for being in the country illegally.
Wow. Just wow. "Journalism" has reached the point where
comments culled from four far, far left groups can be cut and pasted to make a
"news story."No pretense of "fairness" or looking
for an opposing viewpoint. Just straight parroting of the liberal conventional
wisdom. Or, Obama talking points.Come on, Deseret News, is this
what I am paying for? (Yes, I do BUY the paper, not just read it on line!)Deportation is the direct consequence of violating our laws, and those
violations were committed as free will acts by people who usually were aware of
the consequences. Or, sadly, the usual LACK of consequences since our
immigration laws are largely ignored by the perpetrators and enforcers. Will we start blaming back robberies on the banks for having money, instead of
on the robbers?
What trash. The Center for American Progress does a "study" and you
publish it as fact. It's like the La Raza study a few years back about
separating families through deportation.Let's get serious about our
sources, Deseret News.
"A study released in July 2012 from SUNY University at Albany reveals the
deep effect anxiety over immigration laws can have on children," why not release a study on the anxiety children of embezzlers and other common
criminals when their parents are sent to jail? aren't those families
ripped apart, too? Oh, I know, because you are not advocating amnesty for the
other common criminals, just illegal aliens.Deportation numbers have
risen under the Obama administration and are up from 190,000 in 2001 to nearly
400,000 per year in the last four years, according to the Center for American
Progress.Sorry, interdictions at the border do not count as
deportations, no matter what BO or the CAP says.
Children of criminals all go through the same emotions and problems. Let's
stop making excuses and find a way to stop the illegal influx. Our economy
rebounds and we will be flooded again.
