Speaking strictly to form and not function, a lot of these temples seem
uninspiring. The grounds are nice, and the lights all work. But as a physical
structure, it's not 'wow'.
Good to see another new Temple being available.Lord Bless!!
what a beautiful building. additonally, it is what happens inside that is
inspiring. unfortunately, some can't see more than just physical things.
To the good gentleman in American Fork - I must disagree. I thought the Brigham
City temple was quite beautiful. My training is as an architect, but still, as
is the case with all beauty; it's in the eye of the beholder.I
think it was most appropriate that President Packer be designated to preside
over the dedication of this new temple. I know that the Packer family roots are
deep in Brigham City. I too have ancestors to spent a season there until being
assigned by Brigham Young to pusher further up into the Logan area.
I was able to drive by the temple today and it is stunning. It is beautiful in
every aspect and the grounds are beautiful. I was raised in Brigham City and
attended Central Elementary School in the late 1960s. It was sad to see "my
school" demolished years ago. I am thrilled to see the temple built on the
same block and think it is very appropriate for President Packer to dedicate it.
He has been an inspiring leader for so many, many years. I can't wait to
view the temple personally this Saturday before returning to our home in Iowa.
I hope to be back next year to attend this temple myself. What a blessing to
Brigham City and the surrounding areas!
