Redacted reports reveal little new info in Susan Powell case
So with all this "evidence" that was leggally seized, WVCPD
couldn't connect the dots? Or did Josh Powell commit the "perfect
crime" about which he studied the mothods? I'm weary of not getting
any results and it's too bad that mistakes were made and the truth has
never come to the light of day. Will it ever? What were the reasons for all
the "smoke screens" thay the public witnessed during the months and
years of investigation? Does Steven Powell really know any answers? What a
Pat, What is your purpose of writing all these articles after the fact. I am
already grateful I have no family living under the protection of the WV Police.
Now that Susan, Josh and the boys are dead, what is the point of dredging up the
fact that Josh should be alive and behind bars and Susan's sons should
still be alive? When will we see a full investigation of how this
case was (mis)handled by the keystone cops??
It's the DA who charges. They need enough evidence to win in court. They
only have one shot. It's hard without a body.
A newspaper in Utah is actually doing some investigative reporting & so many
of you here & on KSL are harping at them about this????? This
case is NOT over no matter who is dead! You have two little boys who recently
lost their lives & someone needs to find out why? I, for one, care enough
that I want to know why. If we are to learn something from this & move on
then we need some answers to do that!So was this a negligent
homicide on the part of authorities who had enough information to do something
to protect those boys & did not? Or was this a case of
authorities pushing an innocent father beyond his abilities to cope? Also we know from Susan's writings that she REALLY wanted Josh medicated.
So why has no one asked what medication he was on when we know that a fixation
(ideation) on both homicide & suicide are both listed as side effects of
antidepressants - the most popular of the mind altering drugs given out like
candy in Utah for over two decades?I'm ready to learn a lesson
from this case! I say give me some answers so I get the lesson!!!!
In hindsight the WV police must have regrets. So many things pointed towards
Josh as the killer of his wife, but no arrest was ever made. The result, the
two boys died a gruesome death. This whole thing is so sad.
But no answers and precious little information were in this article...although
the headline was interesting.
Typically a person who has a unnatural fascination on the person missing is
usually suspected as well.
We learned that the "damp spot" on the floor (also on a sofa) was known
to be Susan Powell's blood. We learned that a circular saw and latex gloves
were found in Josh Powell's car. Of course she is missing and he took off
in the middle of the night with his little boys to go "camping". What
possible explanation could he have come up with, given these and other other
pieces of evidence? The authorities were negligent in not charging him
immediately. The evidence went way past circumstantial. Who could have raised a
reasonable doubt, and what could that have been?
They could not even prove she is dead. Think about it. If they
charged and he got off there would have been no one to remove him from the boys
lives. Look at the Casey Anthony situation. Didn't add up but following the
rule of law she the ruling was not as most expected or believe.
I know we all have speculation, but I would honestly like to ask the WV police
what else they were waiting for? Was it that they didn't have a body? Did
they feel the evidence was just circumstantial? I would be interested to hear
from the WV police on why they didn't charge Josh. I would assume they
have brought other cases to trial with less evidence.
If they had arrested him back then maybe his children would be alive today.
