    Thanks for highlighting one of my pet peeves. It's right up there with the misuse of the phrase, "I could care less", when the person means the exact opposite.

    I find the improper less/fewer usage particularly distressing when it comes from people in the media. For example, it's really grating to hear some bubble-headed TV "news" person talk about the traffic load by saying something like, "There's less cars on the road at this time than usual." Something I heard just last week. Eeesh!
