Go Mitt, go! All the way to Washington!
Obama claims victory. That's nice.Where's the Job's
Romney?.Rich Republican elite Congress sends student loan and
infrastructure package to Obama that are to create GOP job's?. Companies
across Florida collect millions of dollars up front to create jobs, then miss
their marks some by a little, some by a lot. In many cases, they balk at giving
the public its money back. They include Metlife in Tampa, Piper Aircraft in Vero
Beach, and Redpine Healthcare Technologies in the Panhandle. The grants in
question come through the Quick Action Closing Fund, one of 13 job-creating
incentive programs that Florida offers and the program that has awarded the most
money in the last five years more than $200 million. Governments have awarded
incentives to companies for years to encourage them to hire, but historically,
they demanded the companies create jobs and invest corporate dollars before
getting a tax refund or credit. This gave taxpayers some protection. But the
timing is changing. Competition for jobs is so fierce that state and local
governments nationwide are choosing to turn over cash in advance.
Mitt Romney's organization said Friday morning it had raised $4.6 million
online, and Obama's operation, while not revealing specific numbers, said
they had surpassed Team Romney's announced total.______Among Obama's donations yesterday is the $100 I gave.
I'm going to be perfectly clear: Mitt Romney has promised that if elected
our next president, he will repeal Obamacare on Day One in office. Immediately
after the Supreme Court ruled to uphold health care reform yesterday, Romney
reminded his supporters: "When I'm President...Obamacare will be
over."If Romney gets his way, 105 million Americans could see
their lifetime caps reinstated, and more than 3.1 young Americans could be
booted off their parent's plan and could again be without insurance. Up to
17 million children with preexisting conditions could, once again, be at risk of
being denied coverage, and insurance companies could once again drop you if you
get sick. That's why the Truth Team's work to spread the
truth on Obamacare is so critically important.Luckily, we have the
facts to stop Romney, and the progress I just laid out to back us up.
From an average of $140k per day to spike at $4,600,000 in 1 day (from 47,000
people) after the Supreme Court's announcement simply shows how
passionately negative Americans feel against Obama-care. In fact, almost every
poll taken since it's announcement shows the majority of Americans opposed
to this forced government intervention into our personal and private medical
lives. Socialism has never worked before and won't be any different this
time. However, it does have a good chance of succeeding in bankrupting our
country. To Schwa: Why feel the need to advertise that you're
not very good with money? Most people prefer to keep their personal weaknesses
private. Also, the reason Obama's camp wouldn't give any specific
numbers is because they didn't really exceed the amount Romney took in.
Otherwise, why wouldn't they?? But apparently they took in at least $100.
To Magna Ute Fan 12:51 p.m. June 29, 2012Go Mitt, go! All the way to
he'll REALLY enjoy seeing President Obama inaugurated for his second term
in office. Actually, I don't want either of them. I just
don't want Romney a heck of a lot more than I don't want Obama.
Romney would be a disaster for the United States and its people.
@Furry1993"Romney would be a disaster for the United States and
its people."I disagree. I'm not for Romney or Obama, but I
don't think Romney would be a disaster for the US. I don't think
he's any different than Bush and many other previous presidents. In my opinion, Romney offers a better direction for financial reasons. Obama
offers a better direction for civil reasons. If Romney had a heart
for gays and homosexuals I would consider voting for him. But he can't
separate church and state so he loss my vote a long time ago.Obama
cares about people, all people, but just doesn't get the financial
realities. Health care and all these blanket programs sound great on paper ...
until none of us have any paper if you catch my drift.
That's too bad. We'll all be worse off if he wins. We need programs
for people. Business already has a lot of friends.
Have we become a nation that "needs" Washington to "care" for
us? The Federal Government was never charged or authorized the duty to be our
nanny; that job was left to the States and to the People. The primary duty of
the Federal Government is to protect the United States from enemies, foreign or
domestic. Six of the seventeen duties that we have authorized to the Federal
Government deal with the military. None of the other eleven duties involves
being our nanny. Some many think that I'm cold hearted. Ask my
eight kids and my twenty-two grandchildren if I'm cold hearted. The point
is, I know the difference between family and government. I know that
America's greatness depends on the greatness of its people, not on the
greatness of its politicians. When government stays out of the way,
we can do great things. Romney knows the proper role of government. Obama only
knows how to be a community organizer whose chief purpose is to conquer by
dividing this nation into a caste system. Now, pardon me while I go
to Mitt Romney's web site and make a small donation.
I am actually old enough to remember when our president was named Eisenhower,
and I think this will be the dirtiest campaign in my memory!
@SchwaWaste of a hundred bucks. Obama already said this week in a
campaign email that he will be outspent.@Hutterite"We need
programs for people. Business already has a lot of friends."Please tell me you at least understand that it's 'business'
(aka: the private sector) who funds our 'programs for people.' We are
$16,000,000,000,000 in debt. How much more funding do you really want? Do you
not get that the money isn't endless? You can't keep shaking the
goose who lays the golden egg and not expect it to die. Is this really that
hard to understand? The money has to come from somewhere. The programs
don't pay for themselves.
@Brother Chuck - Man you are one angry soul, but God loves you anyway and in the
end you're going to be good, maybe not Great, but good. In the meantime,
here on earth we have to pay for the things we do, and when you don't have
it then you have to say "oh well, I guess we'll have to do
without." That's personal responsibility. But you'd rather we
just not worry about the budget, cause that's no fun. Let's take care
of everybody, regardless of the choices they make in life. No worries Chuck,
put it on my tab, and let's all sing kumbaya. Love ya buddy. Keep up those
comment from Florida, and please, oh please never forget us here in this lost
provincial little land of Utah. Ah shucks, we're just a bunch of bumpkins
that could only dream to be blessed with your worldly wisdom. Teach me Chuck.
