I have been posting this exact thing dozens of times and desnews always filters
out my posts. Too late the damage is done.
Unfortunately, those baby boomers have all the good jobs, the good income, and
interestingly, incurred teh 15 trillion dollars of debt as well. The
moral legacy may be better than what the new generation has, but the fiscal
legacy of the baby-boomers will leave their children and grandchildren bankrupt.
I do not know a single person in my generation who either has not been able to
find work, or has lost a job in the past year, myself included.
It's time for the rising generation of chidlren and grandchildren to stop
whining and complaining about what the baby boomer fought all their lives to
achieve. Non of what the Baby Boomer has was handed to them, they earned every
dollar of compensation and value they put on their rights as American's
working for amreican business.Baby boomers created the power of this
country through WWI, WWII, Korea, and peace time so these spoiled brats would
have their parents home to run to because they are too dependent to demand the
same pay and benefits of their parents. We fought for our lives, its time the
brats took on business, foreign nationals, and government to make the same
demands for the value of their skills, education, and services like we had to
do.Baby boomers set a value on their services and pay so they could
provide for family and making a company wealthy and rich. But we made the
company's too rich and too powerful and they got slavery reestablished as a
legal wage system by outsourcing this country.Want to complain, call
your representatives like we did to get what you benefited from.

Just wait until all the generations that are following them; just up and cancel
social security and Medicare. They may have a lot of votes, but not as many
as everyone younger than them. And they were thinking they would just rely
on younger workers to take care of them when they retire.
Baby Boomers were born after WWII. The first boomers were about 10 yrs. old
during Korean Conflict. Boomers that we owe a debt of gratitude did serve in
Vietnam. The 15 trillion dollar debt can not be directly attributed
to Boomers, unless you're counting the 5 Trillion dollars of the debt that
the US Govt. borrowed from the Soc. Security Fund. Money that Boomers had paid
in but many will not see. The debt is primarily due to bloated government
spending, too much spending on military industrial complex, and wars, wars,
wars, and more wars all on credit.I guess Boomers can be faulted for
voting weak people into govt. positions that so easily became corrupted with the
sense of power.I feel that the generations coming behind the Boomers
are getting a raw deal. Hopefully they won't hold a grudge, as many of
them may get stuck in jobs changing bed pans of the old Boomers in rest homes.
@Mr. Whim, it seems to have been getting better during the last year, but if you
don't know anyone in poor circumstances, then you may need to
'de-insulate' your tight social circle a bit. Or maybe I'm
feeding a bit of trolling, but ah well...I don't know that
it's so much 'they have all the good jobs' as that the
opportunities and capacities to create more work are being restricted in various
ways. Outsourcing overseas rather than training and building at home
hasn't always resulted in savings in the long term, and has hurt in
reducing incentive to have people trained in manufacturing skills here. And related, a preference to hire and abuse someone like a green card
resident rather than train and properly treat a local to do specific work has
also hurt the U.S.' labor market.
