Of course it a lost cause. Only thinking people would care how UDOT is run.
It's disingenuous of the GOP to suggest that Democrats cannot point out
flaws in Herbert's administration. Njord's behavior toward Graham,
both in 2010 and in 2012, has been nothing short of reprehensible, and Herbert
has been reluctant to do anything about it. Herbert is not the rock-solid leader
some would make him out to be. He's certainly no two-star general...
I can give you a reason why this is not going away, thirteen million of them in
If I were a GOP strategist, I certainly wouldn't want the public to pay
attention to the choking stench of corruption surrounding UDOT.If I
were a GOP strategist, I'd try to put as much distance as possible between
Governor Herbert and Mr. Njord. With sufficient hand-waving, smoke,
mirrors and a reliance on the public's short attention span and knee-jerk
fear of anyone, regardless of how well-qualified they are, who runs with a (D)
by the name, Herbert might just get away with it.Just keep voting
for the R, and once again, we'll have the back-slapping good-old-boy
kleptocracy we deserve.Unless by some miracle the public actually
does pay attention, actually does demand answers to difficult questions,
actually does think realistically about who's running the state, and
actually does hold our elected officials accountable for their decisions.
Re: Blue Salt Lake City, UTYou called it correctly. Unfortunately
for the Democrats this will have zero effect on the elections this coming
November. People here in Utah are going to be focused on the ecomony and
Obama's support for gay marriage. The biggest thing the Republicans have
in their favor is the man currently sitting in the White House.
I think Carroon and Rocky Anderson are twins!
The Governor needs to fire John Njord, not because he is a Republican, but
because he used his position to get his way, and try to force his will on
someone who could not fight back. I am a Republican, but I am getting tired of
the Good Old Boy system we have at The State Capital. It needs to change, and
start doing what is best for the People that elect them. The people have become
a second class citizen, and have no rights, as far as alot of the top Republican
leaders think. They think they can do what they want , and that no one is going
to say anything. It is time that the people of this state say enough is enough.
Elect someone who will LISTEN to us the people and do what we want.
