Haven't seen it, but now surely will make sure I watch that episode. Glad
to see people on the left attacking their own for unreasonable comments. I
would like to see the other side do likewise. It isn't so much what church
one goes to, but more what they do with that faith in their daily lives.
Believing in the true nature of God is a pointless activity if it doesn't
result in behavior matches the teachings.
What comes out of religion is core beliefs and values and every religion and
government sets its own values according to their beliefs. This country and its
doctrine are christian without socialism as its core values and beliefs. These
other ideas and faiths that are non christian are the ones having a problem
dealing with rights and our christian based constitutional law and order. They
are the outsiders and the ones who must change and adapt and assimilate to
christian standards of law or they will never become americans. To call your
self an American you must change as centuries of immigrants have done for 200
years to make the country the power it should be.For this reason and
rule of law and government our leaders must be christian and believe in this
country. This is Obama's curse, his Muslim core training blocks his
acceptance of christian values and beliefs as he has demonstrated.Romney is a christian but his core values and beliefs are hard core Socialism
of a Mormon. Mormon's (Socialism) fears prosperity, independence, and being
self sufficient not needing the church or government to supply them with goods
A cursory fact-check on Romney will show that he's not above twisting the
truth, or telling outright lies. That is the problem, not that he's
Mormon. Oh, and the fact that he would be a huge step backward in the Bush
direction. Our nation has suffered enough!
@ My2Cents: So, those "Christian" values you claim to espouse
don't include true love for your neighbor of the kind Christ exhibited and
urged his followers to have? You don't believe the Constitution applies to
all Americans - only certain Americans who meet your approval.Great
way to validate the teachings of the Founding Fathers.
If there's supposed to be a separation between church and state you
can't see it for some of these bigoted people. As Stewart says, they will
take one concept of a religion and carve it up and claim all church members are
soiled because of it. Take care how they judge others. If we looked at their
"religion" (like Bill Maher) they'd have a hard time justifying
their beliefs. Probably their chief belief is taking pot shots and condeming
simple math: "I hate Barack Obama more than I love Jesus."I
have my own simple math: "I hate Mitt Romney and his Mormonism more than I
love Jesus, Bigfoot, Leprechauns, or any number of other fictions."
Re: UtahBlueDevilWhat I like about your comment is that it implies
that "faith without works, is dead". Some in the religious commununity
might not agree with that principle.Re: embarrassed UtahnPoint of interest you might like to know about. There is this guy named Barak
Obama who is the current President of the United States. He has about 3 times
as many truth twisters and outright lies as you accuse Mitt Romney of having,
and he has achieved most of that in the last 8 years while a Senator and
President. Plus he has made the country worse in every way economically from
when he got the job. I'd love to go back to the Bush years of 4%
unemployment 4% GDP 3$ gas prices, ect. The good old days.
@Vanka I agree with one thing about your post. It is simple. For a person who
hates Mormonism, you chose an interesting place to reside- Provo, Utah. Good
luck with that.
@ m.g. Scott:You forget when this nasty recession began and why.
Love to go back to Bush? Only conservatives with no memories would join you.
Funny... Utah Republicans were soooo worried about what the Democrats would say
about Mormonism. And it was the radicals in their own party that slammed away.
m.g. scott:The 4% unemployment rate was during the Clinton years.
Bush INHERITED the 4% rate but quickly ushered in the 7% unemployment rate by
the 4th quarter of 2001. When Obama took office in January 2009, the
unemployment rate was 10%.But yes, gas prices was between $2-3/gal
during the Bush's first term. But by 2007, gas prices were inching up to
just short of $4. It didn't drop back down to $3 until right before the
