Excellent decision!! It was the defense's only hope and therefore they had
to take a stab at getting the evidence obtained through this legal search
warrant thrown out. You can't blame them for trying.Mr. Powell
is now free to try and explain away the evidence to the jury. I think he will
chose to go for a plea deal.
I'm glad this guy will be off the streets for a while.
I understand wanting to support your family, but in the face of seemingly
damning evidence I can't understand what Alina Powell is thinking. I do,
however, feel sorry for her.
So his daughter doesn't think he can get a fair trial? Is that based upon
all the publicity in the media or the fact she doesn't want to see her dad
convicted? (A dispatcher had never heard of Josh Powell went he blew up the
house, remember?) The evidence suggests he is no model citizen and I'm
glad I didn't live next to him. Hopefully he will finally see the light
that he needs to reform his life and do whatever he can to get the Susan Powell
case closed. But I think he will just continue to play the victim role. After
all, he never did make bail so I guess he preferred the warm bed and 3 meals a
day in jail. Maybe he'll get many years of such care-free living, who
I think the reason Susan Powell's journals were confiscated was to keep the
Powells from "publishing" them on the internet. I also think that we
will never know the whole story if those journals are kept a secret.
How many years of jail time can we reasonably expect on these charges? I am
thinking not as many as people seem to expect. Now if he were selling or sharing
on the internet then maybe it would be more. Is there any indication that he
Hallelujah! "annwandering" I agree with you. He won't be
incarcerated as long as we think. I haven't heard any of any charges of
selling or sharing but I haven't read every single article about this slime
The cynics among us should keep this in mind the next time a judicial decision
temps them to scream that the system is broken. The system works as well as the
participants, and in this case the judge did his job. But without omniscience we
will never have a perfect system.
