Well I don't know who this guy is but if his skill set is as described he
should fit into the BYU system which puts a premium on athletic big men that can
run, shoot, and pass. If he can get out and run with the athletic BYU guards,
then either finish at the rim, stop and pop a jumper, or else pass to an open
man he will do well. Like most foreign players he probably isn't overly
physical, that is usually the big drawback to these guys.
its not good when this was his only offer, even the utah coaches backed off the
u25lolUtah coaches, while they were still recruiting the
kid:"He [Agustin] is high on Utah's radar; also being
recruited by UNLV. Think tall 3pt shooter a la Kyle Korver. Won't be
leading scorer, but shoots well and would be a solid contributor."Of course, like all potential Utah recruits, as soon as Agustin signed with
BYU, Utah fans immediately begin their "Utah didn't really want him in
the first place" spin.
Uhhhh, u25... had to go back and read the article. Where does it say BYU
"was his only offer" and Utah backed off? Was that wishful thinking on
your part or a cheap shot? Try again. On the positive side
(doesn't happen when trolls are around), welcome to a great BYU program and
great coach in Dave Rose.
BYU will be much improved at every position next year, except Power Forward.
Ambrosino sounds like a big step towards solidifying that position. However . . . if C. Collinsworth gets healthy and can play at 90 - 100%, the
Power Foward position will not be a concern at all.
Ahhhhh....Jimmer, the gift that just keeps on giving. Now let's hope Jabari
is also a Jimmer fan (I suspect he is).Got some good news on the
progress of Chris Collinsworth knee and now this should give us some nice
options at the 4. Also, he sounds like a really nice kid to boot.Good thing he didn't commit to Utah, Coach Krystko would have soon after
asked for his scholarship back.
Hopefully he will help with our outside shooting problem, I know the return of
Tyler Hawes will more than compensate for the loss of Abuo since he started
ahead of him as a freshman, only big loss will be Hartsock and hopefully with
Ambrosino and the return of Collinsworth that will be a wash. I also look for
big things from Chatman. Can't wait for next season.
My mistake, Jordan Chatman is going on a mission and won't enroll until
