I recommend the Montana solution- shoot, shovel and shut up until the wolf
problem is solved.
@DN subscriberalso known as the neanderthal solution
Any of these so called sportsmen, like Dn subscriber, that think that they can
shoot, shovel and shut up aren't even sportsmen. Anybody who would do that to a
a wolf would also poach other animals. That is called being a criminal. If I see
anybody doing anything of the such I will report them and wait until the
authorities show up. There is no room for such people in the hunting world. Why
do these people think that they have the right to hunt deer and elk, but wolves
don't have the right to hunt them? Very few humans have to hunt to feed their
families. If you do - great. But these trophey hunters who kill animals for
sport are rediculous. Get a grip people, the big bad wolves aren't here to get
you. When you hear of them attacking people on a regular basis let me know.
Until then I am quite sure that you are more likely to be killed by another
human than by a wolf/wolves.
In response to Brahmabull: So it would take regular wolf attacks for you to
worry about a wolf problem? How many is regular? Ten, fifteen, fifty, one
hundred? That was Neville Chamberlain's approach to Hitler's
attacks. Let's just wait it out, and see if a particular attack is isolated.
Or do we just take the approach that a loss of a few lives or limbs
is just a price we pay for being part of the ecosystem?
RBN - that is like saying how many bear attacks do we wait for before deciding
to kill all bears. Doesn't make much sense, does it?? Or cougar attacks. While
we are at it, why not ban cars because somebody died in a car yesterday in Utah.
You see how rediculous that reasoning is? How many you ask? How about 1 to
start... They don't pose much of a threat. I do understand people who have
livestock, as I can imagine I wouldn't want to lose money if wolves killed my
livestock. But these hunters who just want them gone so they can go trophy
hunting every year is rediculous. How about the hunters only hunt every other
year instead??? That would add up to thousands of deer and elk spared. Or go
without a deer hunt altogether 1 out of every 5 years. No hunters at all for
that 1 year. Give the animals a break every few years. Most hunters will
disagree because they think they have to hunt every year.
@RBN: How many lives and limbs have been lost to wolf attacks on humans?
