Way to go DesNews, I wonder how many investigative reporters are on staff?
There's clearly enough shenanigans to warrant several.
In our agency (I'm not naming which one), a one-time misuse or a credit card
means paying back the card and a fifteen day suspension without pay. A second
misuse is immediate termination. Our statements are reviewed with receipts
monthly and audited by an outside set of eyes yearly. I don't understand how
fraudulent use even happens. I guess other agencies aren't as thorough with
their employee as ours. I wouldn't even dream of using my credit card
In any private organization (and most public ones), the employees, and probably
the SUPERVISORS would be fired on the spot.A slap on the wrists doesn't
seem too effective to me.When the media finds out about this, we
have to wonder WHAT ELSE is hiding that the "supervisors" don't allude
to.Its no wonder no one trusts the feds. for much of anything!!
Gee, and here I thought the Berkeley study indicated only the rich cheated and
were greedy. Now I find out our sacred unionized Federal workers are cheating
too. I'm so surprised.
a govt employee scamming the system? no not in the USA
