    Republican will never accept it.
    1. Their number one job is to vote against anything Obama proposes, never mind the people.
    2. Corporations want both loop holes and the tax break not reform.

"Not all companies would benefit from Obama's tax plan. Drug, Internet and biotech companies would pay much higher taxes than they do under the current tax system"

Also oil and gas companies would get their taxes jacked up as well!!

Obama just can't get himself to NOT raise taxes on somebody. One step forward and two steps backwards. I mean - every time the man proposes ANYTHING positive you can count on a BIG negative being thrown in - usually a BIG tax increase. This is SOOOOOO predictable!!

Now you can bet that the lap dog media will not say a WORD about the big tax increases - just the cuts. Same ole same ole.....

We simply need a new president who doesn't feel compelled to play political games for every single thing he does. This man is JOKE!!!!

More smoke and mirrors economic from Obama! Cut taxes a tiny bit on some insignificant and "lucky" corporations and raise them big time on most corporations, who incidently already pay some of the higest corporate taxes in the world. More jobs will go overseas, higher unemployment and American companies will be less able to compete with forgeign companies and there goes our tax base! Made in China anyone?

    re:Happy Valley Heretic

Did you not read about all the TAX INCREASES in the bill?? Obama can't do anything without jacking up taxes - his far left puppet masters demand it!! If Obama was actually serious about jump starting his dead economy he would cut taxes across the board and not play political games and election year posturing.

Also - did you not read the comments of Senator Hatch about the plan having NO details at all - just high level murky generalities. Hmmm, sounds like every other bill the man puts forth (Obamacare for instance). The devil is in the details....

It will be interesting to see what Mitt Romney has to reveal about his tax reform plan which he plans to talk about later this week.

    re:Caprice

I can guarantee you one thing - Romney won't raise taxes on ANY segment of our stagnant economy - he actually 'understands' how capitalism works unlike the rookie in the White House...

Obama's corporate tax overhaul sounds like a total disaster just waiting to happen!
How can they possibly reduce all loopholes completely? Can't wait to hear what Mitt
Romney has to say about this!

Sadly, this tax plan ignores reality. Blue collar jobs are disappearing. Trying desperately to save manufacturing is a skilled political move, but that's not where the economy is headed. The jobs landscape is moving toward highly skilled companies such as biotech. Punishing them won't help the economy.

    @happyvalley

One problem with this bill is is raises taxes on S Corp's and LLC's which are small businesses. I am a part owner in an LLC small business and if this goes through it will take our business down, but then it will only effect about 20 workers so I am sure it will be OK correct?

What needs to happen is ALL citizens need to pay their fair share. 50% or Americans pay NO income taxes whatsoever. How about EVERYBODY pay a flat 15% after all I am sure those who pay nothing still benefit from every road, the military etc. This bill will absolutely put the last nail in the coffin of the American Economy.
