My then-8 year old was patted down pretty invasively last March. As it was a
family vacation to Hawaii, so no, driving wasn't really an option, I had no
choice but to allow them this "liberty." They were kind enough,
however, to let me hover nearby, provided I kept my mouth shut. So now I get to
talk to her about good touch/ bad touch, unless it's the government, and they
get to do anything they want.
Yes our liberties are being conditioned away.Invasive searches at
the airports.Obama firing the CEO of GM (where is the legal authority?)Obama "informing" BP that they are going to establish a $20 billion
fund, without due process of law.Obama closing all drilling in the gulf
without legal authority.Obama defies a court order to end the moratorium
on drilling. It is one abuse of power after another. When
England cut the price of tea so low that smugglers could not make a dishonest
buck, and then added a tiny tax, it lead to the Boston Tea Party. Our
constitution is hanging by a thread. Obama says he believes in something called
a "Living Constitution" mostly because he doesn't much like the
written constitution. What are you going to do about it?
@the rock wow just a few shortcuts through the facts there rock, but then
again you never where one to worry about facts or truth right?
So in context this "resolution" carries no actual weight, right? How many man hours were wasted to come up with this? How many staffers
typed, re-typed, edited, filed, and put this up for vote? In an age of
dwindling budgets, is this the best use of taxpayer money?
Kalindra, care to back up what you said about the Rock? Where did he
stray from the facts? don't essentially call him a liar if you are not willing
to back it up.didn't BO:fire the pres of GM?force BP to
establish a fund?close drilling in the gulf? (but ONLY to US employers,
not the Chinese or Mexico)defy the court order?
It's about time. Lets end the TSA before they radically expand.
'Invasive searches at the airports.Obama...Obama...Obama...Obama...' - The Rock | 8:58 p.m. Feb. 15, 2012 Um, the TSA was
petition and signed into law... by George W. Bush.
Novemeber 19, 2001. 'The TSA was created as part of the Aviation and
Transportation Security Act, sponsored by Don Young in the United States House
of Representatives and Ernest Hollings in the Senate, passed by the 107th
U.S. Congress, and signed into law by President George W. Bush on November 19,
2001.' - Cursory Wikipedia Search. With a majority Republican
House and Senate. In 2001. Is this how Republicans take
RESPONSIBLITY, for their actions? 'Blame Obama'... for
something that happened almost seven YEARS before he was elected President?
Pagan, stripper visions did not become common at airports until BO
was pres. So YES, we can blame BO.BTW, control of the US house and
senate since January 2007 belonged to the dems. control of the whitehouse from
jan 2009 to present belonged to the dems. control of both houses and the WH
from jan 2009 to jan 2011 belonged to the dems, yet did they repeal the TSA?you know the answer. But if you're going off on the rock, I
see you're not addressing any of the other infringements on liberty for which
BO, and BO alone, is responsible.
There were no airline attacks between 2001 and 2010 and TSA didnât need to
molest little kids, strip search old ladies, remove diapers from incontinent
passengers or irradiate and take nude photos of people then. In ten years TSA
has not caught one terrorist. In 2011 over 98% of items were found
using the x-ray belt and walk through metal detectors, not by naked scans or
groping passengers.TSA is nothing more than a jobs program posing as
airline security. This agency has become a bloated bureaucracy that has been
over-funded and under regulated by Congress. This has led to a perversion of
their original mission and egregious intrusions into the lives of everyday
travelers. After sixty billion dollars over ten years they can't cite
one success. Today 60% of the freight in the cargo- holds of airliners remains
unchecked, half of it from foreign shippers. Despite this obvious omission they
continue to confiscate passenger property that their own regulations allow. There have been 62 TSA screeners arrested for serious crimes this year,
including rape and murder. Eleven have been charged with child sex crimes and
four for smuggling contraband through security. TSA canât prevent crime
within their own ranks, yet weâre supposed to trust this corrupt workforce
with airport security.Over 1.3 million Americans have died in
defense of the liberties that TSA is trampling. Cowards who defend TSAâs
violation of the 4th Amendment in exchange for false security are pitiful and
dishonor the sacrifice of those heroes. This agency has become a
national disgrace and needs to be replaced with something that actually works.
