I am not arguing that avoiding a fire fight was a bad idea. But eventually Mr.
Bundy and his friends must be brought to heel. The property they
occupy belongs to the taxpayers. Mr. Bundy has not paid grazing fees (as I
understand it) for some 20 years. Whatever the specifics, he must abide by the
rules and pay the appropriate fees. Otherwise, the taxpayers are subsidizing
his cattle operation while others pay the full freight. If he wants
to fight, there are the courts or he can take his case to the people for
legislative changes. But bringing an armed militia to forestall action by the
taxpayers' representatives does not make him a hero - it makes him
lawless.Armed insurrection should be squashed.
Tim DeChristopher went to prison because he broke a law to make a point.Cliven Bundy also broke a law, several, and he should serve time. Based
on his proclamations about race, spending time in prison might be the best thing
to happen to Cliven. Normally I don't advocate for color TVs in prison, in
this case I think it would help. High quality educational programs certainly
"We're nation of laws!" they always say. Until they don't like
one of the laws.
Rancher Must be held accounable“But she disputed
Gillespie's contention that the agency mishandled a roundup of Bundy's
cattle 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.”Of course she disputed
Sheriff Gillespie’s ridiculous claim. That’s because his claim is
completely false.Gillespie is politicking. After all, if he wants to
be elected again in this “Conservative” county, then he better toe
the “Conservative” line. And the anti-Government, anti-American
“Conservative” line says that the Federal government is at fault for
just about everything . . . Especially for the misbehavior of
Bundy needs to be arrested and charged.
In other countries Law Enforcement would not be as mellow and kind in that
situation. However; follow up and responsibility must take place.
You can not try to intimidate police by aiming guns at them. It is totally
unacceptable. There are videos of people using this tactic and they
should be punished.
Who exactly are these BLM officials weighing in on what should happen to Bundy?
I visited the website and couldn't find any names of any officials.
Unelected, unknown, and unaccountable, they control an area larger that the
United Kingdom and can dispatch snipers and military-grade tactical vehicles
with a stroke of a pen. This is what bothers me--sure, Bundy should
pay grazing fees like everyone else--but to enforce them, they should have just
filed a civil suit or imposed a lien. But as happens far too often, they wanted
to roll up on him like SEAL team 6.More frequently, the message I
hear from Washington insiders and bureaucrats is that it is their country--we
the people just live in it.
Amazing how the word "accountable" is thrown around. How
about the word accountable for the feds:* seventeen trillion dollar
debt* politicians spending hundreds of millions per year for lavish
conferences, and vacations.* selling and giving away billions of dollars
worth of military weapons to other countries.* the feds releasing five
Hitler type terrorists, and over thirty five thousand convicted prisoners from
American prisons. * Etc.Then some are upset by a farmer not
paying land fees? Crazy!Make the feds accountable!
make Clive accountable, but at the same time? Make Harry Reid accountable too
for this land grab!
Our political leaders have turned Americans against Americans with:*
Bundy* Racism* Poor vs Wealthy--income gap* Unequal pay
of women compared to men.* Gay marriage* Gun owners vs no-gun
owners* EtcCan the people of America stand on it's two
feet, and say "enough is enough"?
