What is the difference between the approximately 900,000 Palestinians displaced by the 1948 war and the equal number of Jews displaced or expelled from Arab countries during that same time? It is this: we Jews chose not to remain refugees for political gain and, instead, worked with all of our people to make them prosperous and help them become successful instead of keeping them in a permanent sort of exile in hopes of using them as tools against another country. The Palestinians have an entire UN agency devoted to maintaining them in eternal status as refugees, generation after generation while our own people have chosen to move forward, creating a nation full of high-tech industry, research and invention.
