I agree with the comment that if GMOs are truly safe, then there should be
nothing to hide, and by labeling them we can move past the debate. The article
mentions much support for the safety of GMOs without any mention of the
compelling studies that show otherwise. I found the "RISK" section
interesting in that it mainly discussed how safe GMOs are. What kind of
journalism is that? Read The World According To Monsanto. What an eye-opener.
Unscientific paranoia is the only harm that GMOs have caused. Millions have been
saved from starvation, yet 3.1 million died last year according to Lancet. The
number who have died from GMO - 0. With a finite amount of land and water, the
only method to feed the growing world population and lift millions from poverty
will be increasing the harvest of rice and wheat among other grans by GMO
advances already in progress. Europe has been duped by bogus "research"
on the negative effects of GMOs, but hopefully rational thought processes will
prevail in the future.
