My two cents though I'm hardly a mountaineer. But that's just it, many of those climbing Everest aren't true mountaineers either. It has become a Bucket list item, usually for the some wealthy guys that are in decent shape. They don't give the mountain enough respect and often pay the price. I don't know the specifics of these latest disasters and I do feel bad for the victims and their families, please don't get me wrong. But I also can't help but feel that this climbing Everest has lost its meaning a bit and just plain too many people are on the mountain these days that shouldn't be there.
