    There is no law requiring individuals or companies to pay the maximum tax. Congress passes laws and when they result in loop holes (Called "tax incentives" by Congress.) others are blamed for congress's incompetence. If something illegal was done, prosecute the law breakers, but don't criticize them for being smarter than congress.

    How about throwing Caterpillar into jail if it's found guilty of breaking the law? After all, corporations are people too, my friend.

    haha..Nice one. We could have a lot of fun with this metaphor. For instance, that would mean that corporate takeovers (say... via Corporate A buying 51% of the stock of Corporate B and then changing things) would be illegal since we don't generally approve of Cannabalism in the United States.
