Article title: "Attorney General Eric Holder urges restoring voting rights
to ex-felons"Let's get real....The only reason
Holder wants these ex-felons to vote is because the overwhelming majority of
them will vote for Democrats.Period.Oh, America, how I
weep for you....
Of course he would. He's Eric Holder...
Seems like 2014 may be a good year for ex-felons. Politics make strange bed
fellows as the saying goes. Utah legislators are also considering letting
ex-felons have their gun rights restored as well.
My opinion is that once someone has served his/her sentence and is not on parole
or probation, their voting rights should be restored. And the ex-felons I am
acquainted with are not Democrats. As for restoration of gun rights, I think if
the felony did not involve a gun or other weapon, there is not a good reason to
deny the right to go hunting, for example. I have a family member who served
6months in jail and has had to get rid of his hunting rifles and a pistol that
was a gift.
a picture is worth a thousand words. nothings is surprizing when barry and eric
And next he and Obama will want to parden them by the thousands so they can
become "Ex" and vote.
More liberal votes.
Restoring voting rights for ex-felons makes perfect sense to me. Why not?Is a certain Party afraid of democracy? The United States has
more people incarcerated and more ex-felons per capita than anywhere else in the
world.Prisons, and state and local so-called justice systems have
become growth industries. People in these industries have a vested interest in
ensuring a constant supply of felons. In other words, law-breaking, and harsh
sentencing are tacitly encouraged. It is the bread and butter of the justice
system, and for the people who work within it. That is especially
true in states where prisons are outsourced to the private sector. Did, you know
you can buy stock in companies that imprison people? It is literally against the
short-term interest of these stockholders to see the crime rate go down, even
though it would be of advantage to the nation overall.Allowing
ex-felons the right to vote nation-wide would allow a previously unheard sector
to have some input into governance. A certain balance would be restored to our
Representative Democracy, because another perspective, and a truer
representation of reality overall, would factor into governmental decision
libs love to be part of a group of ex felons, takers not makers, and tolerant,
as long as you agree with them. fantastic affiliation! this is what made america
This is just another ploy to enhance the liberal effort by adding to the 47% of
population who are on some form of government assistance. The liberals love
those who are seeking more government handouts because their "claim to
fame" is to promise, promise and promise more free-bies and hand outs.
