Sorry excuse for a "News" organization
I, like most of Americans haven't turned on msnbc in years. Uninteresting
hosts and their extremely liberal bias is nauseating. I only know that because I
see clips of their idiotic statements. Their numbers are in the tank, more like
a death spiral.
This article is about whipping MSNBC. Everyone knows it is a partisan
alternative to Fox. Things get said that are wrong, b ut more that gets said is
correct. Here's the thing. MSNBC will admit its mistake. They will
apologize if they go too far. They will discipline their people. Compare that
to Fox. It is even more partisan. It is well known that the entire day's
programming is coordinated by Roger Ailes. Their people say truly off the wall
things, make horrible mistakes, never apologize for them, and there is no
accountability. In the end, this article is, I would bet, driven by partisan
interests, and this paper, being a right wing organ, supports that mission.
Please be up front about it.
Hey, it's a left version of fox. It doesn't have to be news, or even
truth. Just like fox.
I enjoy political debate. When I have watched FOX News, there are typically
several people with widely different points of view that all get to speak their
mind. They have lively debates on air where each side gets to express their
opinions. When I have watched MSNBC, it is typically a full panel of
left wing liberals who collectively bash conservatives with no one challenging
that stance. Lies, strawmen, and completely made up stuff gets reported as the
truth with everyone on the panel nodding in agreement. That is why I seldom
esqYour msnbc must be different than everyone else's. Apologies?
Really. Discipline is based on public outrage. Mathews at one time seemed to
have some decorum, but now he has none. Look at their ratings and you'll
see that you are definately in the small minority.

content and only 15% real news. The same study concluded that
Dear Esquire:A recent Pew study concluded that MSNBC had 85% biased
content and only 15% straight news content. By contrast, the same study
concluded that Fox had only 55% biased content and 45% straight news.
That's quite a difference. MSNBC has become nothing more than an annex to
the Obama White House.I used to watch MSNBC all the time until it
took a hard turn to the left and became so nasty. I used to love Chris Matthews
until he started to have chills run up his leg.MSNBC is in real
ratings trouble and there is a good reason for that. People just aren't as
stupid as they think.
Dear Bungalow:Please get your facts right. Neither Glenn Beck nor
Sarah Palin were fired from Fox. And...Fox does apologize for mistakes. I have
seen them do it many times. It's just that they are more professional and
make many fewer mistakes. MSNBC has turned into a joke. It's too bad
because they used to be good. I used to watch them all the time.
I gave up watching that channel. So very tired of partisan news. I don't
watch FOX (ugh as well) either. I just want the news, no personal, slanted,
biased opinions please. Give me BBC, they, for me, seem to be the best of the
I like hearing opposing opinion's against any President, it's how I
reason my own thoughts and opinions. I can't stand the cheerleading by the
networks when their guy is in the White House. During the Obama years I've
watched FNC, during the Bush years it was MSNBC. I enjoyed watching MSNBC during
the Bush years. Since Obama has taken office, MSNBC has supported Obama with
vile, deception, hate, and evil as supported by Isaiah Chapter 32 in describing
liberals. I no longer can stomach MSNBC. If a repub takes office in 16'
I'll give CNN a try. Rachael Meadow is another Sean Hannity with opposing
opinions. I only watch if their's a good guest coming on.
nbc is a joke of a "news" organization. The hypocrisy that comes out of
the left wing networks and the minions that follow and worship at the alter of
altered media is laughable. They like to point the righteous finger that anyone
who opposes Obama is only because they are racists. There is no evidence of
racism or proof. It's simply because they are "god" and get to
decide who is racists and who isn't. And if you are a black person that
opposes Obama, then you must be a "puppet" to the white man. Which to me
is a very demeaning comment and full of hate and racism. Are there
racists white people? Yes there is. Is there racists black people? Yes there is.
Are there racists Latino's? Yes there is. Are there racists Asians? Yes
there is. The list goes on.You will also notice that news agencies
no longer claim to be an independent voice. That's because we can see
through their lies. We do not depend on them for news. We talk to each other and
find out the real story, rather than the scripted dialogue they want us to
I dislike both Fox and MSNBC. Panelists and commentators on both are nasty and
mean-spirited. Both stations have a single god: ratings. Both will apologize
only if absolutely necessary.
MSNBC is still on the air? Good to know. I don't think anyone has watched
them other than a few pockets on the east and west coast. Their ratings have
always been in the toilet.
People try to draw analogies between MSNBC and Fox. Sure there are opinion
shows on both but the difference is obvious. Fox often has opinion interviews
with both sides. Fox does not make fraction of the supposed "errors"
(intentional) that MSNBC does so they have far fewer instances to retract. In fact the President and Liberals have been invited on to Fox programs
or offered to send in responses to refute...they do neither. Why would you not
refute a claim or something you claim is untrue?Old example but
nonetheless and example: Van Jones. Our own President had a declared Communist
as an adviser. Think about that? He would still likely be an adviser today if
it were not revealed on Fox News. Communist nations are our sworn
enemy yet our President has one as an adviser?MSNBC spends its time
reporting how intellectually inferior Christians are and how anything related to
Republican ideology is flawed/fails. Then in the next segment they will preach
"tolerance" for their liberal agenda. Huh?They only have
tolerance for their own supposed intellectually superior ideals. In their view
everyone else is too stupid to make their own decisions.MSNBC has
MSNBC and Fox are both useless.
"Rachel Maddow's meticulous, fact-based criticisms of conservatives is
looked upon as the network's model."Hmmm. "Fact-based
criticism" would seem like a given. After all, what is the alternative?
While I don't see Maddow's show as being a very good example of that,
on the "Fact-based" continuum, it is probably the best MSNBC can use as
a standard. In the end it appears that MSNBC may at least be starting
to make an attempt at becoming "Fair and Balanced" as FOX has always
been. I hope they succeed.
I shall give another example of discrimination. We celebrate black history
month. Which I am fine spending time and learning about blacks that shaped
America. The concern I have, is why do we not celebrate Polynesian History
Month, White History Month, Native American History Month, Asian History Month,
Latino History Month etc?It is discriminatory to celebrate one race
and not celebrate the others.
MSNBC makes Fox News centrist by comparison. Had another station made the
inaccurate and bigoted statements that are routine from Rachel Maddow, Ed
Schultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, etc. the FCC would have shut them down.
LOL at the libs trying to defend the indefensible msnbc by making weak attempts
at attacks on FOXnews. Now just to be clear I have personally never
watched a single second of either station although I have seen plenty of clips
from their shows on the internet and on regular news outlet's, but what I
have seen is generally angry, snearing, ridiculousness from msnbc while much
more civil and even humurous clips from the fox shows. I'm not sure if for
some reason only the more civil fx clips are shown while the more ridiculous
ones are not and if only the more ridiculous msnbc clips are shown while any
sort of civil stuff is not but I can tell you that is what I have seen. But aside from that the things msnbc has been criticized for recently are race
baiting incidents that are completely indefensible. I have never seen that from
fox. That people on here are so desperate that they hope to make them equivalent
in a weak attempt to justify that indefensible behavior then it is a definite
reflection on which side is more worthy of respect and trust.
Ed Grady said "MSNBC and Fox are both useless." Ed,
I've finally found common ground with you!
The right-wing media (hate radio etc) should be held to the same standards. If the right-wing media were to be held to the same standard, they would
be required to apologize eternally.
FOX news does not need to apologize. Why would an
organization/propaganda arm of the Republican Party need to apologize when they
never make mistakes? We Never Make Mistakes?Aleksander
Isaevich Solzhenitsyn wrote two short novels under that same title describing
life in Stalinist Russia.
Article quote: "With increasing frequency many of your (MSNBC) hosts have
personally denigrated and demeaned Americans — especially conservative and
Republican Americans — without ever attempting to further meaningful
political dialogue," GOP National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus wrote to
him."What more can be added to this statement? Truth needs no
When I want news, I don't even consider MSNBC or Fox. In fact, I rarely
consider them at all. Both are selling pretty nasty products. No thanks.
MSNBC and Fox. Two sides of the disgusting corporate media coin. And they make a lot of that coin because we, the people, like to hear
viewpoints that are similar to our own. Cha-ching!
