Soon Canadian oil can be shipped across American sovereign soil so that
Canadians can realize more profit when selling their oil on the world market.
How else can we open our borders and use our resources to aid the economies of
This is a positive development. It is very much in the interest of the US to
have ready access to this energy source in a geopolitically unstable world. Oil
is going to power the world for decades to come. And, unlike developments
elsewhere in the world, the pipeline, and the oil sands, will and do have a real
positive economic benefit to the US. That's the advantage of getting energy
from an ally, instead of someone who funds terrorists. You see it all the time
driving up and down the I15, convoys of flatbeds hauling American made
components that will assemble into a giant truck or some other machine, all
destined for Alberta. That's real economic benefit to us right there.
Moderate, it sounds like you are in favor of more American going on welfare. Why
do anything to increase American jobs? This country imports far more that it
should; spends far more on welfare and subsidies than it can afford. If the
United States had no use for oil and its byproducts, you would be correct in
your thinking. Most likely, you are not above using and oil byproducts and you
are most certainly wrong in your comment.
