Arrest unlikely to hurt Bieber's immigration status
When you have money it doesn't matter what you do. You don't lose your
job for being a drunk. You don't lose (much) of your money for doing this
sort of stuff. Things that severely impact the lives of an average
young adult don't even register on the beiber scale. It's just how
Why am I not surprised? He should be given the maximum sentence. Celebrities
should not be given preferential treatment in court. Bieber should be taught
that just because he made some horrible songs that preteen girls (and
inexplicably some people from other demographics that should know better) like,
it doesn't give him the right to be a jerk and it does not make him above
(this is an honest misconception on my part) When I saw the picture, I honestly
thought it was Miley Cyrus at first until I read the headline.
Justin Bieber has millions of fans, followers in the US alone, he has huge
influence on those young people, but that also comes with big responsibility.
You would think that he'd know better. It is too bad that he can not even
act as a guy with normal thought.
Samwise - the average 19 year old is not given the maximum sentence in most
similar cases, so why should this guy? It seems you are the one trying to push
for different treatment for him due to his celebrity status.
One way ticket back to Canada please...after appropriate punishment.
Chris,You make a good point and I probably didn't think before
I posted (it happens to the best of us). The intent of my post was to say that
he shouldn't get preferential treatment, since often celebrities do get
preferential treatment. I amend what I said to say he should get what a normal
19 year old would get. I don't actually think he should be treated more
harshly. Thanks for the correction. My bad.
Here we go again... another over indulgent tweem "Star" role model going
There was a report published in this newspaper not long ago that stated that
nearly half of the male population in the U.S. is arrested by law enforcement by
the time they reach 23 years of age and that number has not changed much in the
last 40 years. So why are we surprised that Justin Bieber at age 19 falls into
this category? Rich, poor or famous Justin is joining a large segment of his
age group and gender. Unfortunately, a lot of lawlessness at that age stems
from underage drinking. I was fortunate never to have been arrested but I
probably did some things during that age period that bordered on being arrested.
Sorry mike, they don't want him back home, nor apparently celine dion.
Wonder what kind of morality, besides self serving, Justin Bieber believes in?
Its not his fault, but the adults who should have taught, mentored him.
The minimum age to drink alcoholic beverages is 21 nation wide. So where did
this 19 year old kid get his alcohol? Which clubs were letting him in and which
were serving him liquor? This kid has no business in clubs, despite his
purported celebrity. He should also have been cited for drug possession. He
has become a nuisance, and should be deported back to our neighbors to the
He needs help before he hurts himself or someone else.
