Boise ought to look at Dave Peck or Les Hamilton

Woo Hoo! This is probably the best move UW could have made-and will definitely have a ripple effect on the major schools in Utah (cue the DN articles on this move's impact on BYU, Utah, and Utah State).

It's possible the Pac 12 just got stronger with Sark now at USC and Peterson now at UW. Time will tell . . . .

He's a very smart man to take this job and remove himself from the USC search. The USC situation is a mess with huge expectations and very little patience. Wash is on the rise and the fan base is more realistic. Petersen with have all the tools and people behind him.

Washington is in the Pac12. Utah will face Washington more than they face Boise, most likely. Plus Utah doesn't win any other schools. If they play them they can beat them.

    But I agree, Go Utes!

I think Peterson will do well at Washington. Good for him. Washington needs to get to the next level. Perhaps this change, with Sarkisian leaving, turns out to be a big plus.

Wow, USC gets "7 Win Steve" and Washington gets Chris Peterson. I'd say that Washington came out way ahead on this deal.

SUU coach could be a good fit for Boise State.

Washington must be overjoyed and USC on the other hand should be a bit crestfallen. What Peterson did at Boise State was magical. With the talent he had and the recruiting ability I think he realized you can be an overachiever only so long. I would have rather had him take the USC job because of the talent pool and tradition. But maybe he doesn't need the 5 star athletes with all the baggage they have. Good for you Coach Peterson. Now the Utes can look forward to getting beat by 40 from Washington instead of 40 by Boise State.

Welcome to the PAC-12 Coach Petersen, "the conference of champions!" Nobody can blame him for wanting to be a part of the premier college football conference. Our conference just keeps getting better, which makes for even more exciting football for our Utes. Of course, we need to start winning games (besides BYU since that yearly win is now off our schedule). That will be on our Coach W. Go Utes!!

Daved-- Not sure Utah should be looking forward to this move. Petersen and BSU haven't exactly proven to be a pushover for them in the past. The reason the story focuses on BYU and USU is because BSU is one their schedule-- not from the Wash vantage.

There are many Utah Hs prep coaches who should be in the mix.
