I find it interesting that the last four times a bill to place restrictions on
abortion actually went to a public vote they have been soundly defeated
(colorado twice, mississippi and now Albuquerque).
spring streetDon't you also find it interesting that when the
subject of same sex marriage goes to a public vote, it gets soundly defeated by
the public, even in states like California?
@mg scottactually that is no longer true, during the last election every
state that had initiatives on the ballet went in favor of gay marriage and gay
rights, more then 40 years later anti abortion advocates cannot say the same.
Funny how we move towards guaranteeing civil rights and not towards restricting
them isn't it.
Life ends when the heart stops beating.Life starts when the heart
begins beating.Therefore, abortion is ending a life.If a
tree falls in a forest with no one around, there is still noise. If a human
is in a womb with no one around to see, there is still life. Can't believe the awful things people can justify.Common
sense is confusing to some people.
@worfits not "common sense" that life begins or ends with a
heart beat, it is your belief. Science does not have a universally accepted
definition of when life begins or ends some say it is tied to a heart beat some
say brain function. Many theologians believe it is when the soul enters the body
but they do not agree if the soul enters at conception or at the babies first
spring streetStill many states have never voted, and the ones that
did, like California, that vote still stands. And, if you want to argue
abortion, most people in the country would ban late term abortions according to
@mg scott If your claims about recent poll numbers is correct then
why is it that the last four attempts to pass late term abortions has failed
when put to a vote? The CA was how many years ago? the last several
ballot issues that went to the voters have all sided with a more just society on
both issues and away from unconstitutional restrictions on individuals rights,
attitudes are changing sorry thats just the facts.
