Libs have a tough choice given by Obama,? You can either go down with the ship
or go down with the captain? Either way the ACA is a disaster foisted upon the
American people who will show their disdain in 2014!
I find it hilarious that avid ObamaCare supporters, particularly in Northwest,
and now learning that there are fewer choices, less coverage, a significantly
more cost than what they expected - exactly as they had been told time and time
again by people whom they refused to listen to.Employers are cutting
benefits and raising costs and, when challenged, have nothing more to say than
the government won't let them do what they've done in the past. To
have the same coverage I had last year is going to cost me a little less than
twice as much. How's that for the promised lower costs and better
coverage?Sticking fingers in your ears is rarely a good way to make
a decision. Unfortunately Obama followers are blind sheep bleating behind their
master and that's exactly what we'll see again over the next few
months. Like lemmings, they will follow Obama right over the edge of the cliff.
If this so called roll out had gone well Obama would be doing victory laps
around everthing. Watch him keep his distance from the failure. Who would
believe he did not preview this fiasco. His ego kept it from the light of day.
There will be many people who like Obamacare/ACA.For example, most
people who work in beauty salons don't have health insurance--or pay
premiums for catastrophic type coverage. I asked the person cutting my
hair yesterday if she had had a chance to go on CA's website. She had, and
discovered she could get a significant reduction in her monthly premium for a
lower deductible and much better coverage.
I'm shocked that yet another thing with barack's hands all over it is
turning out poorly.
Obama has no real clue about insurance. He just makes things up that sound
good. There is no accountability for him.The fact that he
got re elected at all shows that he has a free pass to keep lying. Thanks America for voting for him. You are getting what you deserve.
I guess leadership is not proven by playing golf and vacationing.
Enrollment problems/sticker shock are just the beginning.Common sense
tells us that we cannot get more for less. You cannot insure millions more,
eliminate lifetime caps and cover pre-existing conditions without someone paying
more. And you cannot send millions more to the doctor without having a
shortage of doctors.
Obama's words and actions are often totally opposed to each other. He has steadfastly opposed any delay in the individual mandates (while
delaying mandates for his cronies, despite the lack of any legal authority to do
so). As the unworkable sign up system collapses, it is very likely that Obama
will suddenly blame Republicans and Bush for the problems, and announce a one
year delay in the individual mandate as well.
The rollout is going poorly but the bill itself is good. The exchanges are quite
popular in the states that have effectively set up their sites, like
Kentucky's "Kynect" (heh, it's also more popular when you
leave the conservative people in the state blissfully unaware that Kynect is
their Obamacare exchange).

real pathetic thing is that blind adherents like Truthseeker will, without
reservation, join in the blame game. They will continue to cherry-pick the one
or two pieces of data that make things sound good while ignoring the
overwhelming contradictory data that shows how troubled things are. People like
this use an isolated case to make their argument and turn a blind eye to any
other data no matter how readily available it is.Truly, we are
seeing ample evidence that "you can fool some people all of the time."
Says the same folks who were so absolutely sure that Mitt would win, your
predictions are based on your hatred and ignorance instead of facts. So when it succeeds, I''m sure we'll see the same rabid radio
listeners, find something else to complain and do nothing about, this is all the
conservative party has left after 30 years of tying to convince the public that
trickle down works and war is good... it doesn't so this one trick pony can
only complain and obstruct.Truthseeker generally uses references,
something conservative can't seem to accomplish.
Only the bo and his clueless followers would consider:1. Adding $7
Trillion to the national debt2. Increase of unemployment3. Increase
in food stamp recipients4. Increase in part time jobs with a decrease in
full time jobs5. Poorer quality health coverage6. Increases in
taxes7. Poor race relations8. Being mocked by the world9.
Paying over $500 billion for a website that doesn't work10.Assaulting
religious people11.Calling murders on US troops as work place violence (Ft
Hood)12.Standby while our Ambassador and Seal Team members are murdered
then cover it up with a youtube video13.Murdering women and children with
drones in foreign countries14.Paying for the murder of unborn children
when the mother and father made the choice to have sex together15.Eat
French fries and demand everyone else eat healthier16.Vacation, golf, on
the backs of taxpayers while they're out of work17.Increase the
conflicts we're involved in around the world18.Take credit for
personally teaching the seal team to get bin laden19.Evolved into gay
marriageas a good step in the right direction.
@Happy ValleySo you say that conservatives can't find
references to back up their facts. Here are a few: Dr. Betsy McCaughey read the
whole 2000+ pages of new regulations in the ACA and found a payroll tax
increase, limits on HSA accounts at $2500.00 which many people use to pay for
kids braces etc.. Taxes on medical device manufacturers who make life saving
devices such as pace makers etc..,and many more new taxes. Also you might have
missed the story last summer where the Alpine School District cut the hours of
their bus drivers to 29 hours a week so they would not have to pay them Health
Benefits which they can't afford because of the ACA according to the
official from the School District. Most of these facts are given little
attention by the Obama networks, and its only conservatives who decided to read
the whole bill and find the hidden taxes that Obama doesn't want you to
Boyee Ted you sure drank the whole cup of tea.But 80% of your list
is nothing but radio rhetoric opinion, and hearsay by hate entertainers.Got anything of value to ad, or actual facts? Much like other
conservatives you just made up complaints to generate anger?

were in power to start WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. They are as guilty as
Republicans with war. Regarding your trickle down economics
statement, I would be interested to hear your economic philosophy. If it is
anything like Obama's, then it would involve government control of
industry, manufacturing, housing, etc. Sounds like the failed economies of
Korea, Cuba, and the Soviet Union. A good, healthy economy requires
freedom of thought, expression, experimentation, freedom from the overwhelming
regulations we see today, and freedom of money.

Hitler started WWII, but I guess it was the Democrats! Using your ridiculous
hyperbole, Republicans want to turn this country into Somalia.
1aggie,You make a good point. I am sorry to have made it sound like
Democrats started WWI and II. Democrats held the White House during those wars
and made the right choice to enter them militarily.Pres Bush did not
start Desert Storm in 1991 either. Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait.Pres Bush went to war in Afghanistan in response to the World Trade Center
attack that killed thousands of Americans. I feel that to be an appropriate
response given it was the most significant, massive attack against the American
homeland since the Pearl Harbor attack.Pres Bush went to war in Iraq
due to poor intel, and the world-wide believe that Saddam had WMD (it is still
speculated that his WMD is now in Syria!). Saddam repeatedly thumbed his nose
at UN resolutions and efforts to verify WMD and safeguard/destroy them. Saddam
had a history of destabilizing a precarious area of the world. Obama has
similarly responded in the Middle East by engaging in Iran, Libya, and Syria at
different levels (some with drones, others with economic sanctions, others with
military attacks and support). You made a good point. Thanks for
letting me clarity mine.
1 aggie, my post was in response to Democratic criticism alluding that
Republicans have started all of these wars because they are warmongers or
something to that effect. It is not true. Republicans have responded to
attacks and threats from dangerous regimes and terrorists to keep Americans
safe. I am sure most Americans would agree that going to war against the
Taliban in Afganistan was an appropriate response to the World Trade Center
attack? The Taliban regime in Afganistan was where Osama bin Laden was basing
his operations, if you recall. He was the man that declared war on America in
the 90's, and that Clinton targeted to kill with missiles.Saddam Hussein overthrew the government in Kuwait by invading his neighbor.
Saddam repeatedly threatened our major ally in the region, Israel, and sponsored
terrorism against Israel. The US has committed to help certain nations if
attacked, such as South Korea, Japan, Israel, the Philippines, Poland, England,
and others. Though politically the war against Iraq and Saddam was debated,
there were not many opposed to engaging with Saddam militarily when the vote was
cast in Congress, and the UN.
@DavidWashington's strong support for Saddam Hussein thought the
period of his worst atrocities in the 1980s, when he was so admired in
Washington that his most shocking crimes--the murderous slaughter of Kurds--were
denied by the Reagan administration and congressional protests were blocked. The
excuse offered is that Iran was more dangerous, but apart from the cynicism,
such apologetics cannot be taken seriously. Well after Iraq's war with
Iran, the US continued to support Saddam, even to expedite his development of
weapons of mass destruction.In 1990, Pres. Bush I even sent a high-level
congressional delegation, led by Sen. Bob Dole, to convey his personal greetings
to his good friend and to assure him that he should disregard criticisms by
"the haughty and pampered press," who are out of control.A few
months later Saddam defied or misunderstood orders, and shifted from admired
friend to the embodiment of evil. All such matters have been consigned to the
usual repository of unwelcome fact.shifted from admired friend to
the embodiment of evil in 3..2..1 there's more to this..
Heretic, US support of leaders that later become our enemies is well documented
and has occurred in Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Libya, and elsewhere. It is difficult
to predict the future ambitions, or even the current underlying goals of foreign
leaders. Foreign policy must shift and adapt over time to account for events.
But the unchanging principle of American military, economic, and
humanitarian strength must remain the same. America must protect its interests,
it must support Democracies and freedoms throughout the world, it must support
basic human rights. As voters we make mistakes too when we elect
someone we think will be a good leader, but turns out to be a poor leader. I
would throw many former US presidents, Senators, and Congressmen into this
category, and would certainly include Barack Obama as a poor leader...but
that's my opinion.I believe I am out of posting numbers on this
article. Thanks for enlightening me, reminding me of history and politics, and
engaging in an enjoyable discussion.
@ David-Thank You, and you are most welcome, sorry it got a bit off topic...and you are correct in what principals should be upheld, my fear is
that these principals are seldom the real reason we actually get involved and
our record is looking worse, each time, considering how many of our
"choices" have come back to haunt us. The immaculate deception is a good
Local supporters of Obamacare (Happy Valley Heretic, alt34, Truthseeker, etc.)
are now sounding more and more desperate in their attempted efforts to show some
sort of support to a bad (and getting worse) program. It's become the
stroke of midnight and they're still trying to convince others that the sun
is still shining brightly. People are not that gullible. For each
purported example of someone who has benefited from Obamacare, there are at
least 10 other examples of people who have had negative experiences with it.
Even Obama himself has now taken a very defensive posture... something he
usually only does when getting desperate and frustrated. Some of
these almost humorous supporters have even fallen to blaming radio talk show
hosts and are even denying the existence of proven facts in desperate attempts
to detract from the real issues surrounding Obamacare. It's already on the
path to becoming what many warned us it would be... a bad train wreck. The real irony of this situation is that democratic senators and the president
himself are now looking at doing exactly what Republicans were asking for before
democrats allowed the government shutdown... a delay in implementation.
My neighbor"s premium just doubled.I remember Obama saying the
rates will not go up.Do we have any clue of what responsible
The more our political leaders help the poor, the more poverty increases. In the 1964, the war poverty was created, and since, the numbers in
poverty have increased.Very likely, it'll be the same with
healthcare.Government steals from those who are responsible, and
calls them greedy. They take their money and redistributes it to the others.
This causes a state of dependence which over half of our people are at. Over
half of our people are being fed by government, and soon it may be all of us.Obamacare continues this trend. Those who currently have insurance will
be forced to pay extra for the others, and soon, there won't be anyone for
government to take from.Like cattle. We're being corralled
into communism, and government will have total control over our lives.
We'll all be on our knees for handouts.Don't take my word
for it. Look around and observe. See how our standard of living has changed,
and people are begging the Feds for handouts? Some places in this country
resembles Cuba. The evidence is there.
