Shutdown puts many furloughed workers in financial distress

    When you are in business for yourself you can be "furloughed" for a long time. I think it is good to experience such times. You learn to live within your means and save for a rainy day. If you are living paycheck to paycheck it is time to either cut expenses or get creative about improving your income. Now we are learning that working for the government will not protect you from the troubles that a self-employed person has to experience.

    Can't feed the animals at Yellow Stone National Park. They'll become dependent on people for food, and won't learn survival skills without them.

    Many people have become dependent on government, and won't survive without them.

    Do people from the 1800's have better survival skills than people of today? Are we on our knees to Obama?

    I find it interesting that union members were interviewed and even a union official but nothing about the unions helping their members. Credit Unions even the big banks but nothing from the big unions?????
