If they really cared they'd end this shutdown they caused. They don't
though, they just want a photo op.
Sure then when someone defaces a monument it will be Obama's fault too.
Just open up the national parks without any enforcement and let everybody start
fires and cut down trees while we're at it. You may want to
just fund the government if you don't like what happens when you
I am completely embarrassed that Mike Lee is my senator. His father must be
rolling in his grave.
Who gave the direction to shut down the parks? Who gave the direction to stop
funding Women, Infants and Children? Who thought that locking out the people
who kept America safe with their selfless courage during WWII from the monument
erected to honor them - with private donations - was something that would
advance the Democrats and their cause?Obama was wrong to shut down
the parks and monuments.Obama was wrong to hurt WIC when the House
had passed funding for WIC.Obama rejected the bravery of the people
who made it possible for him to be president.Put the blame where it
belongs. Make Obama and Reid stand center-stage and take their "bows".
They earned it. They deserve. Let them hear the jears and booes. When they get
"booed", then maybe they'll realize that their pettiness has riled
America and that we will not soon forget how they shutdown OUR government when
they didn't get their way.
atl134This shut down was brought by Obama and Reid not by the Rep or
the tea party. Both Obama and Reid are the ones saying my way or the high way
and then being brats by closing down monument and other programs that hurt
people. The Rep in congress and sent bills to fund vet, wic and other needed
programs but all Obama, Reid and other dem keeps saying is how the tea party and
rep and hostage takers and terrorists. Who is keeping people from going to the
monuments, hint is not Mike Lee. Retake your freedoms and pocket book, get
rid of obamacare.
Mike Lee seems to have a lot of free time for photo/tv stunts rather than
working on solving the problems he has created. He is an embarrassment to Utah.
Mike should probably read the Anti-Deficiency Act (passed by Congress) and then
the Constitution again, since he's missed the fact that the executive
branch enforces the laws that Congress passes. In this case, a law that
regulates what gets shut down when the government shuts down, and what does not.
Again, if you don't like what's happening, maybe you should get the
votes necessary to change it (not use parlimentary tricks to try to get your
@Mike RichardsWhat came first the chicken or the egg? This is just an
embarrassing partisan display of ego on all sides.
@Mike Richards - How do you suppose the Government can operate this
non-essential government agencies without an appropriation bill... oh yeh, they
can't. You can place the blame squarely on the Republicans in the House of
Representatives, who have pulled out the nuclear option, because they are not
getting their way. America voted, and the Republican platform lost by millions
of votes. Rather than act like children the Republicans should work on revamping
their platform and go for the win in 2014.
Senator Cruz and Senator Lee, you are the ones that have caused the shutdown
secondary to being key players of the "teapublican" movement that has
taken the government hostage to attain your own narrow objectives. Well Senator
Lee, tare down those walls and stop embarrassing Utah with your shenanigans
We sure appreciate Senator Lee. Need more like him. My Senators are certainly
just going along with the "crowd" in DC. Keep it up, Senator Lee, and I
think your Dad is very proud of you! Finally a few that will stand up and do

Senator Lee's radical postion is uncompromising. Therefore, the ACA is
funded, he must not compromise and resign.
Compare and contrast this demonstration with the one the other day by Latino
activists and unions pushing for amnesty.Washington is officially a
circus. The consent of the people is nowhere; not from either party's
voters.Long term this cannot continue without disastrous effect.
@Mike RichardsThose things are shutdown because the Congress has not
passed authorization to spend on them. I guess Obama could reopen them maybe,
but then that'd be via the executive orders you all claim are
Can hardly wait for President Obama and Senator Reid to be "former
president" and "former senator," assuming there is still a country
left after they are through.
The Confederate battle flag in the background of a couple of the pictures
is...instructive.This national parks/memorials business is a
sideshow, an empty gesture when there are so many more vital things that are
shut down and people unable to do their jobs. Naturally that makes it the
perfect place for the Cruz/Lee/Palin faction to focus the "patriotic
fervour" of the mob. Tea Party - they're playing you like
atl134,Out of curiosity, how many budgets has had Obama passed while
Way to go, Mike. Keep up the good work.
What did these guys think would happen when they shut down the government? Did
they really not understand what government does? Do they not understand non
essential? Memorials (as much as we may like them) are non essential. And now
these jokers are breaking the law also. The republicans need to stop this.
Boehner needs to bring up the clean CR and they need to end this silliness. Also, Cruz, and Lee, and Palin? You think Cruz, or Lee might want to
look around and see who is standing with them? If I were Cruz, thinking about a
political future, and wanting to run for president possibly, and I looked around
and the only fellow politicians I saw was Lee and Palin, I'd be worried.
Bahahahaha! You just gotta love it! Sen. Lee and our Tea Party creates the
government shutdown...which means everything associated with the government
"shuts down"...and then makes a photo opportunity out of pushing through
the barrier that he helped put up! I just love it! I tell you, this Sen. Lee
is one cool Republican! He sure knows how to work the camera and news media!
Darn glad Sen. Lee is on OUR side! Yes folks, it should be obvious to all of
you that we TeaPublicans ARE taking back our America! "P n P" ....Perry
n Palin in 2016! Yes folks, it IS going to happen!
This is an embarrassment to the state of Utah. Three of a kind: Sarah Palin,
Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
@Mike RichardsSouth Jordan, Utah2:06 p.m. Oct. 13, 2013======== Mike, Read the Constitution and stop
trampling it!The President is the 3rd Step.He has not even
GOTTEN the bill from the Senate. How can he possibly be responsible for
it?IF he had, and had he veto'd it -- fire away with your silly
comments.Until then, please follow the Constitution. This whole
thing has ground to a halt in the Teapublican led House.
As a veteran myself, I'm deeply offended by this.Ted Cruz
is NOT a veteran, Mike Lee is NOT a veteran, Sarah Palin is NOT a
veteran. So then I ask, Who is using this for political
Lee embarking on a stunt to burnish his image? Nothing new here. Just hours before the govt. shutdown, Lee left D.C. to speak at the CPAC
conference, while other Republican legislators cancelled their appearances at
CPAC and stayed in D.C. To work on averting the shutdown.
Only ONE party has been openly embracing the use of Govt shutdown as a
bargaining strategy for months (hint: it wasn't Reid, Obama, or any other
Democrat). Now that Lee and fellow Republicans finally got what they've
been saying they wanted, the doublespeak is mind-blowing (huh? somehow claiming
that Obama shut things down?). Guess what - only ONE party is now claiming that
defaulting on the debt "might not be so bad" after all (2nd hint: still
not the Dems). Last time I tried paying just the interest on my credit card
bill, VISA promptly froze my credit line.We need Republicans who actually
have enough basic decency and fiscal responsibility to get their jobs done on
time through regular (civil) debate and persuasion, without resorting to
extortion tactics and embarrassing self-destruction. We will ALL be paying the
extra costs for years to come (through higher interest rates, mortgage rates,
etc.), due to the current Republicans' reckless fiscal brinksmanship. We
need to elect Republicans who don't cynically try to blame the other guys
for things that only Republicans have ever been cheering for. Otherwise, nobody
will ever take them seriously, no matter what their purported
So let me get this straights, Sen. Mike Lee pushes through a government shutdown
and then gets all upset when the government shuts down. I feel like I'm in
an episode of the Twilight Zone.
This is great. No matter how you spin this, Obama is the head of our
leadership. Shame on him for the disrespect of our memorials, and the men who
died for our freedoms.Thank you Lee, Cruz, and Palin for your grit.
Mike Lee is the best Utah Senator this state has ever had! It's
unfortunate the people of this country have forgotten what Independence Day was
all about. Thank you Senator Lee for having the courage to stand up
for our State and against our Dictator-in-Chief.
I sure miss Bob Bennett

that's evidence of a total lack of compromise?

In response to many of the comments made on this forum:The house
passed many bills that would have funded the government (including the
memorials). It is Reid, the President, and their socialist allies that refuse to
compromise. Reid and the President demand everything they ask for and then say
the republicans won't compromise. It is shocking how the left can be so
dishonest and then accuse the republicans of the very acts they commit
themselves. Americans need to pay attention to what is going on with this
process and not just devour the propaganda of the left.
The administration probably spent more money on the barricades and guards to
keep people out, than it would have to keep the monuments open. The President
is trying to "make it hurt."
@ alt134"Those things are shutdown because the Congress has not passed
authorization to spend on them."Wrong. TN Cougar had
it right. The House DID vote to fund govt, all but Obamacare. And the dems said
no. This is totally constitutional: the House has the authority to fund the
govt. Or to say no to certain things. They did what they thought was right, and
the dems said no. The shutdown is Obama and Reid's fault. They closed
monuments that are not even manned, and spent extra $ just to keep people out,
for spite. They not only closed Mt. Rushmore, they closed the highway so that no
one could even see it from a distance, out of spite. They held a busload of
foreign tourists for a day in Yellowstone Lodge, and went out of their way to
prevent them from glimpsing Old Faithful, out of spite. The list goes on, and
on. Even if the govt had to be closed these spiteful activities were the lowest
of the low, and all authorized by Obama. Obamacare is already failing, yet the
libs remain true believers. Open your eyes and watch the failure.
Mike Lee doesn't listen to America, he listens to the Tea Party. He is
part of the group that shut down the government which shut down the monument and
people's jobs. The hypocrisy is astounding but not surprising.
Mike Lee seems to think he's exempt from the rules the rest of us have to
Lee claims he has always said he didn't want to shut the government down.
He is back-pedalling in the face of meager support and much criticism from his
colleagues and constituents. In fact Lee told Derek Hunter on Hunter's
radio show (July 19th) that he would not vote for a continuing resolution that
includes funding for Obamacare........On July 7th in a Washington Press
conference, he stated that he and 14 other senators"...will block a
continuing resolution to keep government funded beyond Sept. 30th if it includes
funding for Obamacare"......In a July 10th speech to CPAC, he said
"It's time to defund Obamacare and if necessary, shut down the
government to prevent additonal funding."Of course he along with
everyone else in the country does not want to shut down government. But he has
indeed expressed his willingness to do so in order to get his way. It would not
be right to allow him to run away from this position now that the political heat

as they'd agreed to do when the Senate passed the appropriations bill in
the spring (after intentionally delaying). But they tacked on an amendment to
defund ACA, which had zero to do with the CR. They reneged on the
agreement absolutely knowing that the Senate wouldn't pass the amended
bill. They literally cheered when the amendment to defund ACA was
passed. They knew exactly what the result would be.They
had Cruz filibuster a vote in the Senate to delay its ability to react. They were warned by the GOP leadership that it would backfire. And
when it did, all they could do is play the blame game.Federal
monuments weren't closed out of spite. They're closed because keeping
them open is a violation of the Antideficiency Act - and Lee knows this. If he
doesn't he should be disbarred.
Impeach Obama for wanting affordable healthcare! So neat to see Senator Lee
be so patriotic and reminisce about his time serving in the military!I
sure hope the victims here, the republicans, can keep getting blessings.

Bravo Senators Lee and Ted Cruz, for showing leadership and sticking to their
repeatedly stated principled positions.Boo to our senior Senator
Hatch for being invisible (but thus offending no one) and failing to show
leadership and he self proclaimed experience and clout.Yes, the
shutdown was caused when the House and Senate failed to agree to a funding bill.
However, the House has repeatedly passed compromise funding bills, only to see
them slaughtered by Harry Reid's Senate, which demands their solution, and
only their Semocrat solution.I am no longer a Republican. I am a
Conservative, and will gladly support Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and their allies, but
never again will help any of the RINO Republicans, who are merely poor copies of
liberal Democrats destroying our country, just at a slighlty slower pace.
Why are there barricades around a monument that is open 24/7 normally?? Or Mt.
Vernon that isn't even run by the Feds -- it's a private org running
it not funded by feds.Good for Mike Lee to stand up against the
bullies of Obama.
@TN CougarJohnson City, TN...I am surprised how many socialists post
to this site.Don't be surprised. Its the same posters everyday
(some even using multiple IDs). This is what they do - 7 days a week. They do
not represent the voice of Utah or the voice of the majority. @Ernest T. BassNo, impeach Obama for the deception. If you were part of
the working class, you might understand.
House Republicans have voted for spending bills that would open portions of
government, but the Democratic Senate has refused to negotiate or even
conference on these bills, and Obama has stated he would veto them. It is the Democrats that have shut down the government, and are keeping it
shut. They believe their stunt can be blamed upon the GOP. The Dems count on
the media to ensure Republicans take the blame. All Americans must
ask why democrats won't go to conference to achieve compromise.
Cruz can't run. He was born in Canada and maintains Canadian citizenship.
Birthers have a problem with that.
Instaed of showing up for photo ops, they should get their butts in gear and do
the job they were elected to do! They need to work something out so the
government can re-open and good people can get back to work. Can't wait
until Mike Lee comes up for election again. I hope the people of Utah are smart
enough not to re-elect him. As the polls clearly show, most Utahns do not agree
with his position.
Hooray for Mike Lee. Love the guy. Please support term limits in the
future and retire public servants before they get corrupted or abandon their
post and responsibilities like Orrin did.Yeah, I noticed Orrin
didn't vote a couple of weeks ago. Shameless behavior.Go Tea

the very top. The one who blamed George Bush for the mess he has enlarged. The

"Those things are shutdown because the Congress has not passed authorization
to spend on them."How un-patriotic and downright un-american to
shut down monuments that are normally open 24/7/365. I guess President Obama
waited for Congressional approval to spend EXTRA money to put up barricades and
use EXTRA security at more expense to protect the monuments from 90 year old men
who have planned for months to visit. Men who saw their friends killed and have
now lived into their 90's to see their President turn his back on them and
use them for his disgusting political petty-ness.There is enough
blame to go around to all sides.
Those who try to blame the shutdown on the Pres and Dems are like the abusive
husband who smacks around his family then yells, "See what you made me do!
This is your fault!"
Lived in Utah for years. I wish that all of the people on this site that think
closing the government would send me money. My company was told by the federal
government that we are mission essential which means we as a company have to
work but not get paid. Which of you crazy shutdown is great people are willing
to open your wallet and pay my employees. We work but can not bill for the work
we are doing. Talk about crazy. I am sure there are other small companies like
mine that are in the same boat. Truly it is stupid that if the government is
shutdown that people think that places of amusement (parks and memorials) would
be open. These are hardly essential.
This is rich! Create a government shutdown, and then protest it! Add Palin and
some Confederate flags to the fun, and you have a festive anti-Obama TEA party
photo-op! This has "GOP Loses House in 2014" written all
The actions of Senators Cruz and Lee are more "Munich Beer-Hall putch"
than "Lexington". This is grandstanding at an all-time high.We should be embarassed for them! They are too arrogant to be embarassed
I for one am proud of Mike Lee. People who do not stand up to the political
antics going on in Washington DC are the ones I am ashamed of.
The irresponsible, entitled group on government dole are the ones complaining
the loudest. As long as politicians can be voted in by the illegals and
nonworking classes, America's freedom will be threatened. A revolution is
brewing between freedom from big, oppressive government and slavery to big,
Defunding has been going on for years.Example: During the late GWB years
there was all sorts of hoopla about building 700 miles of border fence. In the
summer and fall there were great debates and finally the bill passed.Come
December Congress failed to fund it. We all thought we were getting a fence, but
at the end of the year Congress pulled the funding and nothing happened that
year. This ACA bill is a much larger animal but the concept is the same. If
the House doesn't give you the money the program doesn't go
forward. As we've learned regarding selective enforcement the
President can unilaterally NOT enforce the laws he doesn't like, funding or
not.Just ignore them all...and laws in general if you can get away with
it. We are being played for chumps by the politicians in Washington. Pitchforks,
tar and feathers are in order but we are too civilized for that these days.
I absolutely blame Mike Lee and his "father" Rafael "Ted" Cruz
for the shut down. They created this mess and it seems they will not be
satisfied until they destroy our nation.
"The irresponsible, entitled group on government dole are the ones
complaining the loudest."Surely you're referring to the
veterans who stormed the barricades to protest the halt of their VA payments?
So the funding is needed for the NPS to enforce shutdowns of the parks because
we can't fund the NPS to keep them open.Did I get that right
The psychological war continues between the "far right" and "far

Senator Lee was voted in by those who wanted reform in Washington. While I
didn't vote for him, those who did made up the majority of the people who
care enough to vote. Just as Pres. Obama is enforcing the will of those who put
him in office, Mike Lee is pushing for reform. Those who do not like what is
happening in Washington should have come out to vote. It is appalling to hear
complaints from people who didn't take time to attend their neighborhood
caucus meeting or vote at the polls. Fortunately, there is no longer an excuse
to miss voting. Every interested person of voting age can 'VOTE BY
MAIL'. The ballot comes early giving the voter plenty of time to return it
before an election. To download a form visit the Utah Vote by Mail site. Get
out and make your voice heard in the next election.
The US constitution was an act of compromise! No one got all that they
wanted! They worked together for the common good. The Tea Party THUGS do not
want to compromise with anyone. With them it is 'my way or the
highway' that is no way to govern. That brings on mob rule. It is time
for those representatives and senators who war moderate to tell the
'thugs' but out. Compromise and act like an adult or leave! It is
time to impeach Senator Lee. We in Utah should be ashamed of his behavior!!
Does anyone knowe how we the people of Utah impeach a senator?? It needs to
Senator Lee is my No Yes man hero. He's doing exactly what we send him to
Washington to do. Lead by examples. You can't tell the public to go tear
walls and fences down and then sit back and watch them do it. He's joining
in the fight by leading them to the walls and fences. You have my vote the next
Remind me again of Mike Lee's military service.
Good Job Mike Lee!!!I will stand with you all day long!!!So will the Constitution!Don't even think of caving into
these looters. We are going to go over a cliff with them driving. At least
this way we have a fighting chance to steer away from the edge.
I'm sure all of you cheering this event also voiced your enthusiastic
support for the Occupy Movement. Or do you just support civil disobedience when
it's for a cause you support?
I'm not thrilled to see Mike Lee at a protest. Doesn't he have actual
work to be doing as an elected Senator of the United States? He considers
himself a leader, and I would like to see him actually leading - in the Senate -
and not mugging for the cameras.
Too many people in this country are not Americans. They want to be controlled.
As for me, I'd rather give up my life than have people like
Obama controlling it.This was not founded on people being
micro-managed by government.
@peterAlpine, UT"The irresponsible, entitled group on

that. Of course, you won't get any "up votes" from the entitled or
the socialist-leaning commenters here. I'm glad I've been able to
raise my family to be hard-working, independent, and self-reliant. Then, their
natural choice is for smaller government, conservative values, and shunning
anything that threatens our freedoms and our Constitution. They understand the
opposition and that their entitled attitudes are not in their personal best
interest or in the best interest of our great country.
There is plenty of blame to go around on this. Certainly the Obama
administration carries much of the blame. But Senators Lee and Cruz carry much
of the blame, too. They correctly criticize Obama for making the veterans pawns
in this political game. But Lee and his ilk are doing the same thing - shutting
down the government to try to undo a law that was passed through proper
legislative procedures. I agree that we need to repeal Obama care. But holding
the budget process hostage and shutting down the government to do get your way
is shameless political gamesmanship. What if the Democrats start using this
approach and refuse to pass a budget unless they get their way on expanding
"abortion rights," or any of their favorite agenda items. We would
rightfully be outraged - as we should be now at the Republican House.
I say through them in jail starting with Lee and Cruz.
Any one who has followed the news from more objective sources knows the house
passed bills to fund parks and many other things, and Reid refused to give them
airing in the senate. Those are the facts. The left and
democrats are NOT infallible nor without blame. How can you support a
president who closed the white to tours for children while hosting million
dollar parties and billion dollar vacations, or bullies 90 year old veterans.

They sort of forgot to include the part about the speaker at this rally telling
Obama to "put the Qu'ran down." That, plus all the confederate

nothing to do with his policies).
I just love it, Mike Lee is a sitting Senator, in a Senate with a majority of
Democrats. The issue of funding the government has not come up for a vote due
to a Democrat. And yet all this talk about Mike Lee causing the shut down. If
the left says it loud and often enough then people believe it's true. All
Mike Lee can do is say he supports the house republicans. His vote has never
Military people and veterans as a group are among the most selfish, conceited,
coddled, and duped people in America. They got that way by the phony
aggrandizement, praise and deification by the people who control them, the
American Businessmen. Unwilling to pay the true cost of foreign
trade American businessmen use the taxpayer paid military to provide easy access
to foreign markets mostly at the displeasure of foreign peoples. And while it
is businessmen who get us into wars, it is left to ordinary people to get us
out. It is to the great shame to these people who place their

My buddy and his family had planned for months to go on a vacation to Washington
last week. They flew home yesterday. When I spoke with him it was about 5:30
P.M. He said the best part was the War Memorial which he and his family went to
on Saturday morning. What he was most surprised about was the ease in which they
got in considering the Government shut down. I talked to him this morning and
asked him again about the War Memorial. He said the only thing he observed were
the Security Officers, random Camera Crews and a very small band of protestors.
He claims there were absoulty no "Barriers" what so ever. Odd.. The
video I saw was of Cruz and his minion Lee throwing barriers into a pile with
the vets. How did the barriers get there? And why could my buddy and his
family just walk in and the Vet's couldn't? Strange...I'm not accusing any body of grandstanding but after talking with some
one who was there on Saturday I am pretty sure that is exactly what it was. Either way its a shame, we should ALL be ashamed.
@the truthWhy should the democrats allow the republicans to piece mill
their way through and fund their pet projects to take the pressure off them
instead of demand a clean budget proposal. The republicans want actions? Send a
clean budget bill and stop playing games with peoples lives.

I don't get why everyone is bashing Senator Lee. It's easy. It's
trendy and popular. But no one is actually saying anything intelligent, to
counter what he said on the Senate floor when he supported Cruz's marathon.
Lee articulated really nicely what is wrong with Obamacare. No one anywhere is
answering his perfectly accurate portrayal of the facts. I guess it's just
easier to live in the sound bites and the politics and pretend that reality is
something different than what it is. But in both politics and
reality, it is inadvisable for any politician to appear anywhere with Sarah
Palin, especially when your credibility is on the line. Anyway,
thank heavens for Lee and all Republicans who are simply trying to restrain the
runaway increases in spending by our bloated, overreaching federal government.
Remember Obama's own words from his 2008 electioneering:"The
problem is that the way Bush has done it in the last eight years is to take out
a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our
national debt from $5 trillion from the first 42 presidents. No. 43 added $4
trillion by his lonesome. So we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are
going to have to pay back. $30,000 for every man woman and child. That's
irresponsible, that's unpatriotic." Senator Obama voted AGAINST raising
the debt limit. If anyone should have zero credibility, it is our
President. The Republicans are only trying to inject a shred of responsibility
by decreasing the rate of increase in our spending. Sequester. Entitlement
reform. These are not bad words. These are essential for our long-term fiscal
The House listed non-essential functions when they shut down the Govt, not the
President. I believe a park is not essential, not when you compare it to the
Center for Disease Control and other medical watchdog and research
organizations. Food inspection stopped, remember that when you buy chicken or
beef, DOD Civil Servants who directly support the troops were deemed
non-essential by the TP, the FAA furloughed accident inspectors and commercial
aircraft inspectors. Remember, it was the Congress who had to amend their list
when it was revealed that Military Survivor Benefits were also deemed
non-essential. It is their list.Mike Lee led the charge in Congress
to close Government, demanded the above to include Parks be closed but
apparently did not want to lose a photo op and rebadged himself for this one

"This would be an example of Mike Lee breaking the law (which he has sworn

against Lee and tea party. Think about it. I see sweeping changes next
election and I fear Republicans are going to be on the loosing end. Recall
Lee, is it possible to recall a Senator. Does anyone out there know.
Hypocrisy abounds around Mike Lee. How a career Washington lobbyist and lawyer
gets people to believe he is a tea party candidate shows how gullible people
are. He is a product of the very Washington he complains about! Why is he
still taking his pay when Hatch and Matheson said they would not? This shows me
where his heart is....Instead of all this posturing and stupidity,
why don't our elected officals simply do their job and work to amend and
improve the ACA? There are some good things in it, and some good ideas on the
Republican side to make it better.I am an American; not a Republican
or Democrat. Too bad our elected officals are more concerned with party and
power instead of country....We as a nation re-elected all of these
selfish children. We are only getting what we asked for in 2012....
@RedWingsYou can NOT amend and fix a horrible monstrosity. When you look at the actual numbers of people who have signed up for
obamacare, it is quite clear the American people do not want it.Cruz
and Lee are on the right side. The unpopular stand is usually the
I would suggest that all those calling Mike Lee nasty names actually try to
provide some specifics rather than ranting and barking out uninformed liberal
talking points. Here are some specifics about what Senator Lee has been
doing...1. Mike made the case that it was WRONG for Barack Obama to
exempt congress and big business from the ugliness of Obamacare. If individual
people in this country are FORCED to swallow Obamacare and be penalized by it
then so should congress. Apparently all the Lee haters believe congress should
not be subject to their own laws.2. Mike made the case that we should
defund Obamacare and thus allow for a year delay so that this train wreck of a
bill can be fixed to some extent possible before allowing it to destroy jobs,
cut peoples work hours to 27 per week and double peoples health care premiums.
Again, Lee haters seem to like less time at work....oh I forgot that Obamacare
supports don't work and love the increased diet of "free stuff" at
the expense of working-tax paying-producing Americans. Mike Lee is a
GREAT senator and is doing what he was sent to do!!!
The Senator from Arizona calls the tea party "wacko birds". Looks like a
