NYC has a strict gun control laws. Can you imagine the outcome if the driver of
the SUV shot several bikers out of shear fear and the majority of the bikers
owned and carried a gun? Would the shooting involve bystanders (as in
fratracide) and would they have jumped in?
@ Itsjstmeagain:One thing you seem to forget. It's only law
abiding people who adhere to such things as gun control laws. You can conjure up
any type of scenario you want in your imagination, but that doesn't mean
it's the thing most likely to happen. The outcome I really
don't like to imagine is what it would (and possible will) be like when
only criminals have guns and therefore have the greater upper-hand against law
abiding citizens because of that. Mskes no sense whatsoever. The 2nd Amendment
exists for a good reason. Please remember that Chicago has one of the
tightest metropolitan gun control laws in the nation and consequently has one of
highest murder rates in the nation as well. Not coincidental. The
only reason NYC hasn't yet joined Chicago is because of the
"stop-and-frisk" policy of the NYPD which has dramatically lowered New
York's murder statistics. And of course a proven left-wing judge is now
trying to stifle that prudent policy. Watch what the result will soon be.
If it was common in NYC for motorists to have weapons, the bikers would have
left the driver alone. He wouldn't even have had to have a gun for the
crime to have been prevented.
