The U.S.? No, just what passes himself off as a president.
Maybe Obama was looking for an out and this was why he jumped on it. He has no
stomach for war.
America was not out foxed. Obama and John Kerry were! Putin is playing three
level chess, and Obama is playing tidily winks. Obama had Foreign policy by
brain farts. Sorry this is what you get from a person that plays more golf then
tiger woods. taken more vacations then any president in history. Says out
landish rhetoric of crossing red lines in debates. Obama is a 100% out of his
The ones that were outfoxed were americans who voted obama into
office.......twice. now he is outfoxed by putin. you can't make this up
Obama seems to be intimidated by Putin and is happy that he was offered a way to
save face after Congress and the American public wouldn't back him.
If Assad stays in power and continues to kill the opposition, whether by
chemical weapons or conventional ones, then Russia and Putin get what they want,
Iran gets what it wants, and of course Assad gets what he wants. That's a
lot of foxes in the hen house. I'd say if that happens, Obama will wish he
could take back the "Red Line" comment and could go back to ignoring
Syria like he had been for the previous two years.
Just who is being out-foxed here? Strange that people would say that the
president, who didn't jump into another American war has been out-foxed.
“There was never a bad peace or a good war.” ― Benjamin
Franklin "If tyranny and oppression come to this land it will be in the
guise of fighting a foreign enemy." — James Madison “No nation
could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.” ―
CrankYou think Madison would have said that during WW11? And
speaking of WW11, you think that was not a good war? I do think it was
Jefferson who warned us about foreign entanglements though, and by todays
standard maybe that would be a good thing to consider. Obama, by the way has
only been caught up in his off the cuff words that put him in this position.
Otherwise I doubt there would be any talk of attacking Syria.
Obama was out foxed, but doesn't have enough common sense to know it.
Who cares who get the style points. At least we are not in another war.
Not sure, but here it goes:" it's best to be thought of
being a fool, than to open your mouth and removing all doubt".
The British claim that half the rebels are radical groups. It is hard to praise
Assad as any better, though he has tended to protect Christians of which there
seems to be 2 million in Syria. Al quaeda and the radical groups are our deadly
enemies. Maybe best not to get involved. Our best defense is a strong free
enterprise system since that is the only way to a strong economy. Our president
doesn't see it that way.
m.g scottNo. He wouldn't say WWII was "a good war". He
said war is 'bad'. Only a conservative war-hawk would say a war was
"good war". I think your confusing a 'justified war' with a
'good war'. The problem is the over simplification you folks apply to
the taking of lives for politically motivated wars. (Note: Before you start
getting all black and white on me again... I'm not saying WWII was a
political war or an unjustified). The president made no mistake
here. Save your breath,“There was never a bad peace or a good war.”
Your trying to hard to argue a simple truth because you don't like the
president. Politics make people say the darndest things.
Obama got schooled by Putin, plain and simple.
