Our offense is better than their defense and our defense is much better than their offense.

I think their QB will be spending all night on his back side.

    Utah wins easy

    Sept. 14, 2013 7:51 p.m.

We WILL be 4-0 and ranked in the top 25 in another week.

We WILL be 8-4 or 9-3 this season. After tonight some of you will begin to jump on board with what I've been saying for months.

I think either Utah or UCLA will win the Pac 12 south.

With Erickson running the offense as well as it is, I think we'll be putting up about 30 a game and our defense is more than capable of holding most Pac 12 teams under 30

    Go Utes!

    Oregon dismantled SEC Tennessee

    Wisconsin at Arizona State upcoming

I think we score early and cruise to a pretty easy victory. This OSU team couldn't beat a division II team. They can't handle the UTES. Beavers going to get steamrolled.

Is Utah confused and think they are playing Colorado?

"I think we score early and cruise to a pretty easy victory." So says Ken. My, I guess that's why they play the game, isn't it? On paper, the Utes are tough. On the field, not so much so. 2013 Ute Seniors I hope you get used to being the bottom feeders. PAC 12 teams did pretty good today, except for Utah. How does that feel?

  • TroyTown Anaheim, CA

Wow, 6 yards rushing in the 1st half for the Utes; no wonder Utah fans are obsessed with the passing games; the Utes have absolutely no rushing attack. The Beavers are dominating on the scoreboard and in the halftime stats:

    OSU 20 (53 rushing, 215 passing, 268 total, 13 1st downs)
    Utah 10 (6 rushing, 153 passing, 153 total, 7 1st downs)

btw, Utah State beat Weber State 70-6.

Lots of excuses from Ute partisans. Reminds me of when they jump all over Cougar fans when they talk about officiating. Hitting a quarterback after he has thrown the pass, right in front on the head official, isn't very bright. Give Oregon a TD, Utes. That's what you did. They held you to a field goal last time down the field.

But there's still another half to play. Anything can happen. Don't count Utah out yet. I watched them score 4 times against an Arizona team in the 1960's in the 4th quarter to win 28 - 27. I think Oregon State will prevail, however.

55 yards in 12 seconds. Now the score is 34 - 24. Chris B. picked 34 - 17, but, oh, wait...it was Utah to be 34, not OSU. Oh well, you can't rely on some predictions being worth anything.

At the end of the 1st, OSU ahead by 10.
At the half, OSU ahead by 10.
Now the third quarter is ending, OSU ahead by 10.
    Sound familiar?

The mighty Wilson, who they bragged about having something like 183 passes with no interceptions, now has two in this game, one for a pick-six.

Utes have finally out scored OSU in a quarter, right now by 4 points in the 4th quarter. However, they trailed by 10 - ZIP in the first and have never been ahead in the game. OSU might out score Utah yet again this quarter. At least it isn't a blowout for either team, just a loss.

  • StGtoSLC SALT LAKE CITY, UT
    Sept. 14, 2013 11:11 p.m.

The refs have to be consistent with calls. If that interference was a no call in the first quarter, it's a no call in the fourth. That's ridiculous. I hope the best for OSU's runningback. That's why you don't drop your head. Hate to see that happen to anyone.

"We're not playing to our full potential, we're making mistakes and beating ourselves." ekute at 9:58 p.m. See above. Read before you make false accusations, it was one our your own homers that said it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see either team win, really, but face the fact that Utah has never been ahead, even once, and maybe OSU will have a happier flight home tonight than Texas did last week. Just be grateful your first three games were at home this year.

And no, I don't think Utah will be 4 - 0 and ranked in the top 25. BYU, on the other hand, has beaten a top 25 ranked team and next week will probably prevent another team from becoming ranked, assuming that team pulls a beaver out of the hat tonight, which isn't a fore-drawn conclusion at least yet.

Well played game by Wilson. He made a lot of great decisions and played his heart out. Defense allowed way too many opportunities for OSU but overall there were so many comebacks by the Utes. Hard to accept this loss going into next week but there were a lot of positives that came out of this game.

Don't know if Wilson will be able to run against the BYU linebackers, but the passing game should be better.

Look for Utah's passing game to be overshadowed by BYU's running game and hurry up offense. This should be a battle royal, but the final score will not reflect.

    The crystal ball says....

    BYU 42-14 over the Utes.

    That was fun!!!

Ute defense looked like Swiss cheese the first half. Much improved in the 2nd. Some great offense but 3 picks in a game is hard to overcome.

Wilson wins and loses the game all by himself.

And now lets hear some (wait for it)... Ute excuses. LOL

With the amount of emotion expended in this OSU game can the Utes get up for their second regular "bowl' game?

That game took years off my life! If we play a cleaner game and reduce our turnovers, the result could have been much different. Definitely feeling some growing pains!

Our d backs our outright awful. We haven't had dbs this bad since the late 90s.

Since byu can't throw the ball, I like our chances next week. Go UTES!!!

I was impressed with Utah's tenacity. Wilson did a great job running the ball and that was the difference in the second half. Mannion just made one less error than Utah needed.
    Fun game to watch.
See you all next week. Looks like fun.

Wilson is the real deal. I'll give you that.
Don't count the Utes out. I'll give you that.
Oregon State's double pass was more bold and more impressive than Whittingham's onside kick against USU.
"The Refs have it out for Utah" ekute, Classic PAC-12 officiating was a joke (both directions. At least their consistently bad???)
    "Utah wins easy" Chrissy
While I know she'll still have laughable things to say this week, at least the broken record of "We're going to be 4-0 and ranked in the top 5 and penciled in for the Rose Bowl or the NC after next week" etc. will change as reality begins to set in again this year.
Hopefully after next Saturday the Utes will be back at .500

Utah's defensive backs seem lost. Next week is a bad pass defense against a bad passer.

I'm kind of neutral in the BYU / Utah rivalry but right now it's hard to get a sense if either team is all that good. It definitely looked bad for Utah to lose to OSU tonight at home when OSU has not really looked very strong this year. On the other hand BYU's win against Texas last week seems more insignificant after Texas rolled over again today and got beat again. While I'm impartial for the most part I guess I'll side with the Utes next week because they beat USU, and I believe USU is probably better than either OSU or Texas at this point.

That's right ute fans. Keep thinking that Hill can't throw the ball all you want. We shall see next week. With a terrible defensive back field he will have a banner day running and passing. Wilson will spend most of the day either with him face in the turf or running for his life from VanNoy and Fua and the rest of the lb's. I can hardly wait for all the excuses from the u trolls.

well all the prophets who said that uyah would win by a score of 34-14 or whatever must have used a faulty crystal ball because the score was wrong as usual,i think you all just need to watch the games and leave predicting scores to the professionals thank you Beavers great win

"CONGRATS TO THE UTES. You just slammed the door closed for your run to the roses.
OSU is just an average team that just laid 51 points on you and passed for 435 yards.
You may want to forfeit next week."

Didn't that "average" team beat your team in LES by more than two TD's last year? And how did that "slam the door shut" on a Rose Bowl? Oh yeah, your team doesn't play in a conference so you wouldn't know.

You talk a lot. So BYU is going to win. Can you promise me and all Ute fans this? But does it really matter, even if BYU loses... you'll take a couple of days off and then come back with more nonsense. How does it feel to be you? Sad boy.

Utah lost to a team that lost to a lower division team. All the predictions were correct about Utah....not worthy for the PAC this year...not even close. OSU did whatever it wanted to do. 3-4 win season at best, given UCLA/Stanford next at home, on road 5 of next 7 games.

"Since byu can't throw the ball, I like our chances next week. Go UTES!!!"

Keep telling yourself that. BYU hasn't had to throw the ball. Tough for any team to throw the ball in a monsoon and Texas was giving them the run game so there was no need to throw the ball. BYU has had two weeks to work on their only weakness...the passing game. Marion showed them how to do it. Thanks OSU! Besides, Hill has already thrown for over 200 yards in games before so he can throw.

"BYU is lucky they don't have to play OSU."

Nah, they'd be fine. They beat them not long ago 44-20. Utah is the team lucky they don't have to face them again. They get Stanford and UCLA and Oregon...that should make life easier.
