I can see AF upsetting Riverton this week, good match up. The rest are fairly
accruate or easy picks.
Sorry to see Syracuse picked to lose. They should win out the rest of the
regular season if the Offense shows up for the weaker competition.
I really like this layout to present Mr. Parry's predictions (i.e.,
breaking it down by classification). Aren't Bountiful and Clearfield both
in 4A however? I think they are even both in Region 6.I still think
that Mr. Parry places too much on last year. He has had Jordan ranked higher
than anyone in the state this year based on last year and yet coaches and press
picked Jordan 3rd at best in their own region. And thus far, their on the field
performance is proving that he ranked them way too high. Also he has
Syracuse as a 20.2 point favorite over Davis? Syracuse is 3-0 but they've
only scored 16, 17, and 21 points in those 3 games. Davis is also 3-0 but has
only given up 7, 7, 0 points in those 3 games. Will be interesting to see how
Mr. Parrys prediction works out on this one.
Let's also be realistic about Davis. Yes they had a great win last night.
But the teams that Davis has played (other than offensively inept Syracuse) are
in no way shape or form good football teams. Their defensive stats are skewed
because they haven't played anyone with a halfway decent offense.I also look at teams like AF and PG the same way. Yes they had one real game
against Timpview or Brighton. But their other 2 games were absolute jokes.
Same goes with Riverton's opponents (3A Dixie??) Now is the time of year
we will see how good some of these teams really are.

Did not see Weber beating Box Elder. Great win Roy!
adwight,I agree that Davis has realistically played no one. Neither
has Syracuse. People always argue that Region 1 is best top to bottom. I argue
that the teams are all evenly matched, but that they are across the board
average. They play lesser teams in the preseason, and then beat up on each
other during region play. They always have one team who is just a little above
average who makes a run in the tournament and gets blown out by the team that
comes out of the other side.
