Good grief. Krauthammer's main problem appears to be that the progress for
the war in Syria isn't happening fast enough. No consideration whatsoever
of whether or not it is even in U.S. national interests for us to go there at
all or about whether the side we're choosing is even the right one. Typical
@ antodav. A neocon accusing another neocon for being a neocon. How ridiculous!
@antodavI must have read a different commentary than you because I
don't understand your post. Mr Krauthammer isn't advocating for
conflict in Syria, he is stating the case against it. Before we even consider
doing anything, we need to look at the reasons why Pres Obama has taken the
actions he has.......just what Mr Krauthammer is saying.....
Krauthammer is enthralled with Israel's handling of Assad. He wishes Obama
would follow their example. Krauthammer is definitely advocating attacking Syria
but on a much grander scale. He thinks Obama is ambivalent and confused, not to
mention wimpy. Read the article again.
Oh, for the days of GWB, who wasn't wimpy, brother. He was decisive! Too
bad he was also wrong. We'll be paying for his cowboy view of the world for
a long time.
@Mark B:"We'll be paying for his cowboy view of the world for a
long time."I guess the 'cowboy' mentality must be
catchy. Obama has been in the White House for almost five years and we're
still in Iraq and Afghanistan. And this, despite his campaign promise to get us
out. Go figure.
