I don't buy things I can't afford.Why do people have
children they can't take care of?It doesn't make sense.
If you can't afford kids, don't have them. And if you make
the bad mistake to have them, don't look to anyone but yourself to take
care of them.Your bad decisions shouldn't impact me.
If people who can't afford kids didn't have them then there would be
no kids. Only the rich, and the super poor can afford to have kids. The rich cus
they are rich, and the poor because the government pays them to have kids out of
wedlock. The middle class get caught in the middle again.
I know people make their own choices, but if childcare and commuting to work
cost more than you make...why do it?
It is so sad to me that 40 years ago our nation was a model where one
breadwinner could support a family and kids had a parent at home to teach and
train and nurture them. We had the highest "standard of living" in the
world - we were the envy of others and our families were more solid. Women took the bait and left home for the workforce in the 70s not out of
need, but out of social pressure to not be "just a housewife" and to use
the education they spent thousands on. So our society evolved to where
everything is more expensive because there are two incomes to pay for it. We
created a new marketplace where the "necessities" demand two wage
earners and we lost that amazing standard of living that was wonderful for kids.
I grew up in a large family back east and we were frugal - no fast
food or eating out, hanging our clothes on the line and turning off lights to
save money - but my mom was home to raise us and we all learned to be
self-sufficient. Sad where we have come to.
