Both boys have past "convictions" (plural) for assault. Does this mean
that they both have more than one conviction? If so, why in the world were they
free to assault again? How bad were the past assaults? What was their
"punishment" for their prior assaults? The punishment for the crime
should be at least severe enough, cause enough regret, that the criminal will be
very hesitant to do it again. Wrist-slap justice will not work. How can we be
safe in our communities if violent people are let loose to commit the same
Where are Mr. Jackson and Mr. Sharpton when blacks kill whites for less reasons
than Zimmerman had to kill Trayvon Martin? Where are the nationwide
demonstrations? Are we saying this one was ok?
Wow, on the heals of the Travon Martin case, this horrible murder raises some
serious questions and relection. Where are all the white Americans holding
rallies and press conferences for weeks on end to cry fowl? If this man had
been an African American, might there have been a similar uproar as with Travon?
Something seems out of balance here. Let us hope there will be a similar
outrage in the African American community over this murder as there was in the
Travon Martin trajedy. Will there be an expression of outrage by our President
over this heinous crime?
Good work. Now, let's get to a trial. It is very interesting to
read different accounts of this vile unprovoked attack on an innocent human
being. The Deseret News coverage has been complete and unbiased.
Well done. The largest paper in Las Vegas reported the attack, noted
the hunt for two suspects, but amazingly refrained from publishing a photo, or
mentioning the race of the suspects or victim. There is a wave of
racially motivated crime in this country, but it is not one where blacks are
being targeted by whites, despite the inaccurate claims by the Trayvon Martin
supporters. All people who criminally attack anyone else need to be
prosecuted and punished, regardless of the race of victim or attacker(s). But,
when statistical evidence shows a trend, that must not be hidden.
So when I print a bunch of "Justice for Delbert" t-shirts and posters,
will everybody wear them too? Will I be able to get large numbers of people to
march on Congress to voice our outcry?
@ObservenatorWhat's stopping you from printing those shirts?
What's stopping your from organizing a march?
This has been in the news for a couple days. President Obama, he is a World War
II vet, he was in his car minding his own business. Where is your support for
this victim, who didn't deserve what happened to him.
Let me have a few minutes alone with them in a room with no windows so I can
chat with them. I would love that.
