Another day, Another DN "I hate Obama" letter. We might
as well be listening to KNRS or FoxNewx...
Nice Partisan Rant Chrisanne. With very little effort, you could
duplicate it with anyone.Let me try.Mission
Accomplished. And then continues the war for years.Attacked by Al Queda
but invade IraqStart war over WMD, but switch to "liberate the Iraqi
People"Yup, very easy to do and accomplishes nothing.Feel better now?
A sampling of the many, many things conservatives supported before “you
know who” was elected President:HealthCare Mandate Dream
Act Deficit Spending Cap and TradeJobs BillInfrastructureBailouts…among so many other things. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of President Obama in any way
but this “malady” that the letter writer speaks of seems to be
contagious and it apparently hits people harder if they have an “R”
after their name.
This letter starts off on the wrong foot then just stumbles all p er itself from
there. The term is dissociative not associative.
Here's my favorite malady:Compassionate conservatism while we
"shock and awe" other sovereign nations.
Great letter. Some of the most glaring examples are when Pres. Obama regularly
presents himself as the shining hero who is here to save us from the very
problems that he himself has created.
The letter written by Ms. Sueltz has some conflicts with the following.Birds are animals, but not all animals are birds.
Just another highly contrived and confusing version of the unfortunate refrain
of the far right to "stand strong" against Obama.
@peanut gallery "Pres. Obama regularly presents himself as the
shining hero."actually Obama has never presented himself as any
sort of the sort the Obama has hero theme is a contrived straw man of the far
Where was this letter writer's indignation for Bush II? Bush I? Reagan? In other words, it's just another one of those "Rawr Rawr, I
hate Obama, Rawr Rawr" letters. We've seen these. Ad Nauseum. Move on
There is such also such a thing as paranoid personality disorder, characterized
by intense disliking of a certain person, bearing grudges against that person,
blaming him for all the problems in her life, and "magical thinking"
which is attributing to the imagined enemy powerful evil motives that control
her environment and her destiny.
Is this really an issue that deserves publication? Does the newspaper want to
illustrate juvenile emotional irrational ranting by bitter minorities, if so
this is an excellent illustration.
LDS Liberal and all others Obama supporters. You'd hate Obama
too if he was a Republican and all this was happening. By the way, I'd
never heard of KNRS, thanks, I'll try it.
Even Charles Krauthammer and Newt Gingrich are acknowledging that Republicans
and conservatives are going to have to offer more to the American public than
Obama bashing if they want to win the Presidency again. From the looks of this
letter, it'll be a while before Utah figures that out.
@happy2bhereclearfield, UTLDS Liberal and all others Obama
supporters. You'd hate Obama too if he was a Republican and all this
was happening.======Let me clarify a few things....1. I'm an American, not a partisan hack. Therefore - I
support the President of the United States, whoever it is. Even when it was GW
Bush as he trounced and dragged this country down like no other President has in
over 150 years.2. I didn't vote - truth be told, I voted for a
Republican in the last election. [I voted for Jon M. Huntsman Jr.]3.
Go ahead though. The Tea-Party is the BEST thing the Democrats have going for
them, and worst thing the GOP has going right now...
LDS LiberalThat T-Party is why the Republicans have held the House
for two elections. So if that is your idea of good for the Democrats, I
agree. And, I must ask, why did you support GW Bush when he was (your
words) trouncing and dragging the country down......?I didn't
support Bush in much of his war/foreign policy decisions. I voted for him, but
I sure didn't like his nation building policy that has netted nothing for
us in Iraq, and will not likely in Afghanistan either. That Obama didn't
get us out of both in a hurry was very disappointing. But I put country over
party. Many Obama supporters will never admit any failure with Obama. That is
bad for the country when the President gets a pass from the public and is not
held accountable for the job he asked for. A good citizen should not support a
President if they don't agree with them, regardless of party.
The letter may not be a literary gem, but it does point out valid concerns.
"Many Obama supporters will never admit any failure with Obama.". That
is flatly not true. You may find someone once in awhile (I never have) but you
certainly don't watch or read the liberal press. The liberal media has
criticized him from day one, it's just usually not for the same things
"conservatives" criticize him for. When Democrats
don't think Bengazi is the historical disaster Republicans try and make it
they characterize the democratic attitude as "drinking the kool aid of the
almighty King" Try listening to Chris Hayes or even Chris Mathews talk
about the NSA policies..not very friendly to the administration.
Unfortunately this article is right on.
