As someone who supports parts of Obamacare, I think the democrats need to either
implement it as the law states and be proud of it, or work to find a better
solution. And I do not think a solution is to simply repeal it. If
the republicans could come up with something besides tort reform then they might
have a shot at winning some national elections.
@Shaun---why does government have to come up with a solution?Government has created us a debt of $550.000 for every second in a year. With just this. Why do we trust them to control health care, and
Obamacare came about in the dead of night near Christmas and it was a
reconciliation bill notthe type that could muster 60 votes in the senate.
Scott Brown won in Massachussetts because he could stop Obamacare but the
Democrats did an end run around principle and rules to cram this widely
unpopular bill down the throats of the American people. Since the Supreme Court
passed a 5-4 approval of it being a tax, it is the law of the land. It has
been hovering around the 55-60% do not approve in poll after poll. The fact that
Obama won re election;does not mean people support Obamacare. It is still widely
unpopular, with business, individuals and state governments. The fact that two
extremely liberal governors support it means little. Chief Justice Roberts will
likely be able to attend all the DC cocktails, and get some Washington Post
reporters approval but it my mind he caved to DC social pressures in his ruling.
