The tea party will go tea party again and again until they are voted out.
So we can bail out Wall Street, and then lend the money at near zero interest
rates, but students trying to improve their lot have to be taken for the highest
interest rates possible? The priorities of the 1% always have to preempt the
priorities of the 99%? What a twisted nation we live in.
No sympathy merited, if students can pay for their loans and reasonalbe interest
rates that banks deserve to make a profit from then they have no right in the
colleges. Education is not a right, its a privilege of citizenship and ability
to pay for it.And why is the federal government regulating private
banking and their profitable lending? Students who cannot benefit and earn to
repay student loans should not be receiving student loans regardless of
interest. Beside, interest is the least expensive cost of any loan, terms and
conditions are the trap. Not all people are able achievers for
higher education with IQ that can't get them through high schools classes.
This concept of equal opportunity by education does not apply. Its pointless to
put anyone in college who doesn't have the IQ to gain or profit from it. IQ
is not a regulated equality, its natural ability all must accept. Students in
the mix robs those who do have the IQ and intelligence to reap the benefits or
higher education. By over enrolled students who can't perform to the
standards it reduces the education of others also buying their education loans.
And why can't students work 3 jobs to put themselves through college, to
minimize their borrowing debt, like I did? I ended up with $20K in
debt, paid it off over 10 years, and there you go. Most in the
current 'entitled' generation think that "full time student'
means that's all they should have to do. Maybe mommy and daddy never had
them do the dishes, take out the trash or mow the lawn.....
